Im taking in 6 old game to Gamestop so that I can get this game on Tuesday. Hopefully PSN is back up this weekend.
I hate GameStop's trade-in policy. Never ever ever again will I trade-in another game to them. In other news, I doubt PSN will be up this weekend. I heard through the grapevine that they will be bringing up the network in pieces.

brink on xbl is probably the better idea if you want multiplayer access any time soon. i heard bin laden was found because he actually used his real address on the psn.

I think that May 31st is an estimate to give users a bit of hope. I think from all the ish that has occured to PS3 users lately, they should give you more than just 1 free month of PSN+. I don't see it coming back up 100% until early June.
I won't make the same mistake I did with Homefront. Maybe I'll rent it or wait till some reviews come back first.
I never understood why Homefront got the hype it did. People were so excited only from a few gameplay videos.
I guess friends hyped up friends and that spreads fast these days.

Tetas already got it and I'm getting it regardless. The reviews never do the games any justice a majority of the time. I'm not going to pass up a fun game b/c some dickhead nerdy critic didn't like it. That's their opinion but it's not fact and I'll decide for myself.
IGN and 1UP seem to have given it the lowest ratings overall. If you look at the other major sites, the minimum is like 7.5 with the highest achieving 8.5 - you see my point now?

I picked it up on my way home from work, and so far im happy. Seemed fun, and the smart system works well. AI team wasn't terrible either. Can't wait for PSN to be back up.

I watched a video earlier and it seems that even the 'single player' campaign mode pulls in other online players on the same mission to replace all the bots. So it sounds like it will be even better once they get the PSN back up. I think they've said it's 'at least a few more days' today.
I'm going to get Brink too, although it's probably not a day 1 purchase for me.
The way I understand it, that's the estimate for full network services. They've stated that online gameplay, messaging, chat services, and Playstation Home should be up in the next few days. Of course, we've been hearing that since the outtage, so take that for what you will.

Yeah, the game was really damn fun. Even better since I played with a bunch of friends. AI squad was pretty intelligent and completed objectives as well as revived/provided ammo for teammates. SMART system was pretty bad ass. It was fun to do some of the challenges like the Parkour one. If you have friends to play this with, it's a solid fun-packed game.

I was impressed by the AI squad. I thought I would have all objective based gameplay, but I think will be great online. COME ON SONY, GET YOUR ASSES IN GEAR!
