I am just bored to death and haven't played a decent game in a while.I am out of touch for 6 months or so and game websites are too crowded .
Can anyone suggest some new/old nice RTS .
Preferably with nice single player campaign

Hmm well I can definitely recommend a few free browser games, like The Settlers Online (my fav), but also love Warstory, Damoria, Mechrage and Call of Gods...my goodness there are soooo many good browser games available.

There is a new game(to be released) Achron which boasts of 4D RTS instead of traditional 3D.Concept looks stunning.Time travel , teleportation, paradoxes.WIll wait for that I guess.
I'm not seeing any Total War games on that list. Check those out, Shogun 2 is supposed to be amazing. If you want to play the best RTS ever made get Total Annihilation, download some 100 unit mod packs and have at it.

I will pick up Total war : medieval from a pal and then decide on Shogun 2 .not a fan of dual TBS -RTT

Kinda shocked. Never met an RTS geek that didn't like SC.

Just remove the blizzard tag and gauge it against other RTS and then you will realize that it has nice story(not even original) but not engrossing gameplay .
I dont play multiplayer much so maybe I am missing out on the richness of the RTS .
I have a different RTS rating .
If by the 7th day ,I want to play the same game ,same level again then the RTS is good else not.
Never felt that for starcraft 1/BW/2 ,Many of C&C ,Age of empires 3 ....
Given any day
I will want to play as El Cid or Genghis khan (AOE), lead Stephan Angelus to victory ( Metal Fatigue),Lead cybrans to freedom (SupCom FA),be a part of Arkantos' journey (AOM),sacrifice the opposite priest (Netstorm),revel in heresy (W40K Dawn of War),Lead arthas to corruption(WC3),Fight NPA and save carrotland (S.W.I.N.E),play jazz jazzrabbit in between two hours to relax.

Well that is where I made my error. I wasn't aware you played for story. Every RTS geek I know plays for the multiplayer, and in that sense SC truly excels IMO.
Most RTS games I don't even play through the story. If you're looking for story, I am obviously no help!
