From playing the demo, I fell in love with the game. They improved tackle animations, as well as the tackling scheme altogether. The run game is a bit more fun too.
I'll be picking it up in about 2 weeks.

I dunno how that is possible. 12 is miles better than 11.
11 was dog shit tho.
In the demo the secondary still had questionable motives and paths, which is what always pisses me off cause any decent CPU computer or good online opponent will tear the D up, and then the game just becomes a shootout.

Agreed, 11 was terrible. 12 works on the problems that were in 11. They did a good job for once. While it isn't the complete package we all have been waiting for, this will just have to do for the time being.
But when marijuana is looked at as so dangerous that it cannot even be acquired via prescription, such as truly dangerous drugs are, it makes you wonder just what the motivation is to keep it criminalized altogether.

agree 11 was crap but still fun. I now have 12 and still think it sucks. The Run game and Animations are much better. AI is a bit better as well. There are a few glitches (hope they fix them in the next update) Anyways, I hate the layout of the PlayBook. everything is categorized in one sequence, killing the clock when you have to sxroll thru every play. in 11 you had the option to choose specific plays such as Run, Long Pass, Short pass etc. Same with the defense plays. Zoom out feature is not great in 12. in 11 when you zoom out before hiking the ball you were able to see the whole line. Wish there was a replay feature as well. the same voice recording from 11 is also on 12.
I have played a season so far in dynasty. It is better then 11, (which is not much of an accomplishment) but unless you tweek sliders it is either way to easy or way to hard on default settings. There are still tons of money plays, blocking animations seem better, but they don't actually block people half the time, and just run up field letting the hole collapse on you... secondaries are shit, you almost just want to blitz every down.. if the QB has anytime at all they are going to rocket a shot to the receiver.
And why do they take gang tackles out? (or make it really hard to trigger?) It is always so stupid when the ball carrier and a tackle get warped up in some animation, and everyone around them is just diving and falling to the ground. lol
Like most sports games now, you can tweek the sliders to make it a lot better, but if you want to play ultimate team or online you have to deal with all the nonsense. :/
I think group tackles are out, but more because they changed the way the ball carrier moves when he is hit which leaves him open to another attack and easier to take down.

I dont think I ever get tackled by more then 2 people. It always looks so goofy too, like I end up in the "trying to spin out of a tackle" animation, and all these people are diving at me and just sliding off me falling to the ground. Running is satisfying tho when the stars align and you hit a hole with proper blocking for a big gain.

Ohhhhhh yeah. I love doing some kind of sweep/toss and extending it for a big gain (20+ yds).

Like the concept of FA Bidding, but didn't buy it for my PS3. Instead, I bought Madden '12 for my PSP since I play it more while commuting on the bus/train. I can't tell the difference between 2011 and 2012 (for PSP) except roster updates and coaching changes. Don't think I'll buy it for next year.
Nope. My main gripe is how unrealistic it is. I have been watching football more than 30 years and I have yet to see a LB running full speed in one direction, stop on a dime, jump 10 feet in the air while turning the complete opposite direction and pick off a well thrown ball he had his back to when it was thrown. Its just ridiculously stupid. the running game is also very fantasy and highly unrealistic. I preferred the 2K series, that was slower and much closer to a real football game. Madden is arcade crap not far from Blitz.
I got this game for Christmas and the only huge difference I find in this year game is how much better the players move laterally. Sometimes it look's very glitchy by the sidelines, but it's much better when returning punts and running in the open field with your RB. I have too many gripes with this game but at least it's better than NCAA 12, which is complete garbage. I'm just hoping the NFL doesn't renew the exclusive license to EA when it's up. Competition only increases the quality in games, just look at Madden 2005. I believe Fever and 2K was making NFL games and Madden 2005 was ones of the best ever..IMO.
