The game looks absolutely amazing, but I don't think I'll be buying it at launch. I just don't have the time to dedicate to it, and it would be a shame for me to buy it and have it collect dust. I hear the demo is super bad ass as well.

ME2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'll definitely get 3 at some point, but I don't really feel the need to rush out and get games at launch anymore. For one thing, games drop in price pretty quickly now days, and if you wait long enough, they always release a special edition that includes all of the DLC on the disc. Plus, like you guys, I already have a bunch of games I haven't even started yet, so i'm not in a big hurry. The game looks awesome, though. The only thing that worries me a little bit is I've read that this one is supposed to be more action oriented, and less focused on the story. The story and interactions with characters are what makes these games cool, so hopefully they don't cut back on that aspect too much.
I've got it pre-ordered (first time I've ever done this for a game) and am finishing up a third playthough of ME1/2 to have the character ready for import. However I've got misgivings about the depths of your system the Origin software plumbs; reading browser cookies, for example, could lead to my account here being compromised.

I can guess why it needs/wants that info, but it seems a little invasive.
As much as I'd like this on PC, ME1 and ME2 were played on Xbox so in order for my progress to carry over, I'll have to get get this on Xbox as well. The Kinnect commands will be quite interesting too. I didn't think I'd be a fan, but they worked quite well in Halo Anniversary.

I thought I had it on pre order too, but I received an email from Gamestation today advising they won't be able to fulfil my pre order.
That's roughly the same wording as the email I received. Gutted because a Gamestation voucher specifically for the purchase of ME3 was my birthday present from my son. Thankfully Zavvi appear to have copies available.
That's the 2nd time Gamestation have let me down; they screwed me over with the Limited edition of Halo: Reach. In that instance, Zavvi also saved the day (I also got the game a day early).

Wonder what's happened?
I've ordered the standard edition via Play, so hopefully I'll be okay. Gamestation lost my custom a while back for employing emos insted of human beings, and for playing cr@p nu-metal at ear-bleeding volumes.
Rumour has it they're in pretty dire financial straights.
But yeah, the ridiculously loud metal is annoying and very off putting. However, they do some pretty good pre owned deals and I'm a cheapskate unfortunately .

I've just started another playthrough of ME2 as well. Not sure how I wanna do the relationships this time around though. My ME1 is set, 100% complete of everything... the only reason i am considering running through it again is I'm not sure if i wanna have/keep my liara relationship or not... decisions decisions
The Demo is off the chain but I am rusty. That's the reason I went ahead and decided to go through ME2 again.
I also am gonna stick with the xbox version as that's where all my original saves/profiles are. Love the whole importing profile/decisions/etc in ME, it's one of the many things that make this one of the greatest game series of all-time...
(edit: also not gonna rush to get it at launch, though the collector edition does look killer)
I, honestly, do not find a problem with Origin at all. Sure, it's not Steam, but it does what it says, and lets me play my games. As much as I love Valve, I also love Crytek, DICE, Bioware, etc., and some stupid client that takes 5 minutes to install won't stop me from getting my games.
Those "protesters" against Origin really think EA will put their games back. Obsession over Valve much? (the protesters)

Not a problem here. My Soldier is besotted with Liara, my Infiltrator carries a torch for Ashley but seeks solace in Kelly, and the Vanguard is intrigued by the woman behind Tali's mask.

Good for you, that's your prerogative. However do those of us with concerns the favour of not simply assuming we're driven by fanboy-ism. If that was the case I simply wouldn't have pre-ordered the game.

Ahhh, Kelly
But no, I've only ever had one real play through. And I always stick to solider. My ME2 saves are at a point where I can go back to right before I 'seal the deal' (lol) and switch it up if I want. Though I am hoping Miranda is in fact in ME3 (i havent heard anything) I really love her in Chuck and that Deniro movie () and hope to continue things with her

Miranda = Yvonne Strahovski <3

I did two playthroughs like that, but wanted to see what the Tech and Biotic side could bring to the table.

I've read quotes from Bioware confirming that she'll return provided she survived ME2. Not a problem Kaiden will have in any of my playthroughs.....

Mmmmm. I was amazed when I saw just how close her in-game appearance is to real-life, apart from the hair colour. Legend has it that she turned dark to better-offset the Cerberous uniform design.

I love her Aussie accent. It's teh seks.
What? She has dialogue?? Wonder how I missed that???

I don't think she did go dark. It was likely a wig or just graphics alteration. She was still on set for Chuck for the duration that ME2 was in the making.

Ohhhh yeah, very little though. I've just heard her speak in real life, and it was extremely sexy lol.

Def hide/warn if posting spoilers. I won't be getting this till I finish another play through of 2, finish uncharted 3 and at least take skyrim out the plastic, lol.

Tempted to get a new GFX card / SSD if I can find the money. RAM is such a cheap way to squeeze in some performance though.
You should try to pick up a EVGA GTX 580 SC when they are on sale, which seemingly is fairly often. I have one and good grief does this bad boy pump out some power.
On a side note, I bit the bullet and picked up ME3 for 360 on Amazon. I forgot that I'm on vacation next week, even though I won't be home for a few days - I can play once I get back over the weekend.

Actually the RAM isn't really for ME3, it was more for multitasking work stuff. Thought it would help, but ME3 is silky smooth.
That card looks nice. I dont really care about the batman part heh but $500 seems like a lot. I feel like the difference between a $300 card and a $500 card is like 5fps. But maybe there's more to it.
Anyways, I'm about 4 hours into ME3 and it's awesome!
I wont post any spoilers but it's sweet so far. By almost any metric I'm loving it. It's weird you cant holster your weapon though.
Also, as a nice bonus for PC users the text/GUI is nice and small and not some bad console port.
Animations are a little stiff, but, well, that's Bioware for ya heh.

At least I'm not the only one in that boat then. Doh!

Not really a spoiler, but I'll put it in hide tags regardless. It's about the SR2:
I hate the way they remodeled the SR2. The vid room and war room, to be specific. Cerberus at least knew how to make things aesthetically pleasing.
But like previous games, Bioware obviously has no artists that were in the navy...because the navy would never design ships like that (especially how there was only 1 elevator and zero stairs. A few ladders in obscure areas, but meh...)
