Smile Connecting tablet to Roland piano..

Hi. I am completely new to Android. I have a A1CS X220 tablet. Is there any chance to have it connected to a Roland digital piano? All I want to be able to do is to send midi files from the tablet to the piano via usb cable. I can easily do that on a windows laptop, but is it possible on android?. How do you install an external gadget to an android tablet? Many thanks

Welcome to AF!

I've moved your question to the tablet section, hopefully it will get better response there.

Generally speaking though, I'm not sure what you're asking would be possible. Most Android devices don't support that sort of thing, as standard. A Custom ROM might offer that functionality, but I'm not sure what's available for your device.

I think many things are possible and all it takes is a few people wanting it enough to design it. I have experience with iPads and the amazing variety of music applications currently available. Not so much Android stuff.

Give it a go and report back.

I have neither a tablet or any keyboard/piano skills.

I was just saying thanks for correcting my post. I can keep it in mind in case anyone asks a similar question in future (it's actually not the first post I've seen about keyboards and tablets in the last week).
