Hi guys, I found this tablet PC from China, and I have a few questions.
I basically only have 3 concerns with this, the screen, the processor speed and the battery life.
Is it possible that they can use a really bad quality screen so that even if this tablet had a tegra 3 quad it would still be super slow because the capacitive screen sensitivity is so bad?
They apparently use a RK2918 ARM Cortex A8 which is a 1.2Ghz dual core and includes a GPU as well (I think itís a Mali). Iím a PC gaming enthusiast, and from my experience with bad processor architecture (like bulldozer ahem ahem) can severely impact a processors speed even though its clocked high. For example, an i5-2500k at 3.7Ghz will probably beat an FX-8125 at 4.3Ghz because of architecture. Will it be the same here? A lower clocked Tegra will beat this RK2918?
Lastly, the battery, it says they include an 8000mAh battery, which is sketchy, I mean doesnít the iPad have like a 5000 something and the Nexus 7 have a 4000?
Iím not going to be using this tablet for much gaming, maybe at most temple run and/or bejeweled, mostly for word processing, movies, and internet
In a nutshell, my friend bought a super bad china tablet that was resistive touch and 7Ē and it was so bad you tapped and waited 2 seconds before anything happened. I donít want my experience to turn out the same way. Can a bad quality capacitive touch coupled with bad architecture in a CPU give me laggy use? Iím not worried about software because Iíll just install JB when it comes out if the ICS proves unuseable.
