I second Snarf36's post above. I was unable to get through to customer service on the phone despite trying continuously for the past two days. I sent an email instead. DGM_UK, can you please advise on the returning procedure?

Default you wont get a reply!!!

We've emailed DGM a number of times, received a few automated replies saying we will get a response! Um still no response! All we want to know is returns procedure as after waiting 6 weeks for this product followed by the most appaulling or should I say lack of customer service i have ever encountered, I've frankly had enough. Im concerned that should I just send this product back I will not receive a refund, they're not proving the most reliable of companies!!!

We sent one last email, if again no response we will be contacting trading standards and also looking at the number of complaints on this forum, may suggest we all club together and raise this with Watch Dog!

Also dont you find it strange that from DGM find the time to post comments on this forum but cant find the time to answer their emails directly nor answer their calls in the 6000, 7000, 8000 numbers!!!

I received a feedback email from groupon yesterday. I filled it in accurately. Hopefully if others do the same they won't let DGM sell with them again and save others the hassle we are having.

I've just sent my defunct tablet ( grandsons birthday present ) straight back to TV shopping channel from wence it came --for refund . !! The channels advisor ( from Bombay ) kept whittering on about wi-fi, passwords, downloads etc ..

I told him my 15 yr old grandson knew more about IT etc . than me , him, & the tablets manufacture put together & if say s it doesnt work ...IT DOESNT WORK !!!!!!

I have just received my tablet and yet another customer unable to download apps from play store. I went onto the help section of play store and it says only registered listed devices could successfully download apps from playstore. The dgm t909 is not listed. What good is a tablet if you can't download apps? Surely if they knew of these problems why didn't they check mine before sending it out

I received mine this week and its absolutely fantastic, I went straight on to google play and downloaded lots of stuff. E-reader is great too. I know this may sound stupid to say but first time I tried I didn't realise I'd used my sky account to log in, then it clicked so up n running in ten minutes, love it, in fact after another for my grandson

I had mine replaced by DGM at their Ruislip office. I haven't put the new one through its paces yet but I did manage to download an app from Google Play which the original tablet could not do. Now that they have my old one (I say old but it was bought a month ago) I hope they don't just bin it. They said they would investigate why it could not download. Hopefully, they will come up with a fix so we don't all have to send or take our tablets back.

Received mine today (purchased also through groupon) I've tried just about everything I can to download apps from google and other sited to no avail Please fix this problem as Iwaited over a month to receive it and its my Birthday pressie ;(......x

Received mine early last week, also purchased through Groupon. Powered up, accessed Google Play, which immediately notified me that there was an update available. Followed the instructions ie accepted update, and immediately was able to download apps. Sorry most of you appear to have had problems but (touch wood) mine appears to be fine and I'm very pleased with it. I did try to download BBC iPlayer but after several attempts, realised that the Flash download just wasn't going to happen. Downloaded an app called BBC Media Player and lo and behold, BBC iPlayer works perfectly.
So again, one very happy bunny here :-))

Same problem here with the tablet I bought from Groupon. Would it be wise to do a complete system restore and reboot the whole device to start from scratch?

Default Very Strange!

I received my 909 about five days ago plugged it in, switched on and everything is fine so far! Have added 32gb extsd card great. I connect to internet via HTC Wildfire wi-fi hotspot and can download anything from Google Play except App's that say not compatible which is understandable as some apps don't seem to work with Android 4.0.4!

Have loaded all my college study books in pdf, and a whole bunch of other stuff and so far no problems!

What Kernel version is the fully functional tablet running?
My disfunctional device is running 3.0.8

Default Another, but possibly related, problem with T909

I bought T909 about two weeks ago (arrived on or about 05.10.2012, a bit later than promised at first. Groupon voucher, too) . It worked fine for about a week, but then it became impossible to create new directories. I tried several file managers, and mkdir in a the terminal application. In all cases a new directory is not created.
Downloaded applications also became unable to create new directories. I verified this by uninstalling iAnnotate PDF, removing its directory, and installing it again. It did not create the directory it created in the first installation, and hence stopped working at all (to my huge disappointment as I need an ability to annotate pdf files).
I did a factory reset. Nothing changed.
I also noticed that ebooks I downloaded became corrupted after several days, and I had to download them again.

Overall, it looks like something is wrong with file system.

This is a pity, as I liked the device while it worked.

Has anyone successfully got a refund for T909 bought via Groupon? How do I do this?

(To DGM-UK, if you are reading the posts here: I would prefer a fix!)

Hi all. Mine seems to be downloading apps ok.... but not able to install USB drivers (Win7). Anyone managed to install on PC? Any suggestions on drivers? Couldn't find any on the DGM site. Thanks.

I am also having no luck downloading the apps. Does anyone else have a problem with their computer not recognising the device when you connect it. I tried to connect the T909 to my laptop thinking I could transfer some files easier that way but my laptop does not even register it exists!!!

Default Flash player on DGM T-909

I received my tablet yesterday and was playing around to see what it was like, not that fast but what do you expect for 89! I can download from Google play fine, but the main reason I bought this for my young son was to watch Netflix. The tab cam pre-installed with flash player 11.1 but it just doesn't see to work at all. Has anybody successfully got flash player to work? without it Netflix obviously doesn't work and that was the reason for buying the tab. The website says it supports flash, but by the looks of it this may not be the case.

so we got our tablet through the groupon offer, it took forever to arrive but we got there in the end, and after trawling through all the complaints from others online i was a bit nervous as to what to expect.

I can echo the post above though, I haven't had any of the problems with google play etc fortunately, and whilst its not that fast, it does pretty much what i expected for the money i paid.

I share the concern with the flash player, i've installed the update from google play but can't seem to get it working at all.

and one BIG issue I have is the strength (or apparent lack of) of the WiFi radio, sat in my front room last night, within a few feet of my virgin media router, I could only get a 'fair' strength connection whilst everything else in the house that uses wifi - my laptop, two HTC phones etc, all have excellent strength, and later when I took the tablet upstairs, it went out of range and I could not connect to wifi, all my other wifi kit has an excellent strength connection all over the house, and its only a small house!

If I could get it to connect to wifi all over the house, I could pretty much live with the other concerns - has anyone else had wifi range issues?

Hi just want to say that I got one of these faulty tablets with the same probs as everyone else.I trawled the net trying to find a solution I reinstaled the play store on more than one occasion and different versions too but no sucess.

DGM the answers that you've posted such as to check wifi etc are ridiculous its a definate fault with the firmware you've put onthese tablets

luckily though I've found a temp solution and that is to download an alternative market pm me for the link if you want it as it wont letme post it here
*It works fine and let's u install all the apps you want the first ones I did where firefox and adobe and now my tablets ok I hope that dgm will release a fix for this but I won't be holding my breath and I'm going to keep trying to fix it myself if I do I'll post a reply here I hope this helps

We have found a fix but we need to send it out to you in micro SD card, for us to do this I need you to email me the following documents (do not send just codes we need the actual documents): your groupon voucher, your paypal confirmation of the delivery charge, along with your address and phone number.

I must again stress do not just send me voucher codes I need the entire voucher and paypal delivery confirmation otherwise it will delay you receiving your upgrade considerably.

Hi i have the same problem as all the other users. Can u please attach the fix to this thread as not all of us are in a position of being able to send voucher code etc. if theres a fix for this problem that is on the t909 you are obliged to release it. I have my own sd card and can put the fix on and save the hassle of you having to send out hundreds of sd cards with said files on. preferably as quick as you can as this tablet like so many others have said is useless without being able to put apps on ff the market

Exact same here. Having to send off proff of purchase etc etc. If a fix avail why not make it avail? Probably some company policy. Either way it does not vote well for DGM's product support.

Has anyone received the fix and removed the google play bug yet ??

Hi, i've also got the T-909 which i'm getting on ok with but can anyone help with the camera as i am unable to switch between front and rear view and to be truthful i dont really want to take a photo of myself>> any help appreciated

There is no rear view camera that is why you cannot switch between front view and rear view.

Hi, Thanks for responding. Page 15 of the user manual states you can tap the camera icon to switch between front and rear cameras to take pictures??? why would you have a camera if you couldnt take pictures???

Default DGM tablet

Having won this in a raffle and going back and forth regarding a refund via the person who ordered it, I was informed it would be collected from me arranged by DGM. I've had it packaged up here for over a week, with no indication on when I may expect a courier (I do go to work!) I already had to pay 10 for re-delivery after it was sent to the wrong address. Unless this is resolved by the end of next week, with collection and a refund issued, I will be contacting Watchdog.

This company is a joke. I've had a refund for the cost of the tablet but now trying to get two lots of postage refunded. Now they're ignoring me.

No response as yet?

Will be contacting Watchdog on Friday, this is beyond a joke! I've never taken this approach before, but feel I have no choice, I'm out of options. It's been a month since I received this and excuse after excuse. I have already contacted trading standards.

I'm happy to send it back myself if I know I'm guaranteed to be refunded inc postage.

Will be contacting Watchdog on Friday, this is beyond a joke! I've never taken this approach before, but feel I have no choice, I'm out of options. It's been a month since I received this and excuse after excuse. I have already contacted trading standards.

I'm happy to send it back myself if I know I'm guaranteed to be refunded inc postage.

update ..Ok i think i got this


I used HDD Raw Copy Tool which is free from HDDguru website.
Part of this app is it allows the user to clone an sdcard where the drag and dropping of files is not available as in this case.

1. download the above app and install
2. download the fix Fix T-909.rar | Game Front
3. Open Hdd Raw copy tool and click Fle to use and explore to the downloaded fix (unzip downloaded file first)
4. A 1GB formatted microsdcard must be used
5. Select microsd card as destination
6 . select start
7 . Wait til finished

These next instructions are written on the card that came with the sdcard

1.turn off the tablet
2.insert the tf card
3 turn on the tablet
4.upgrade will start automatically
5.wait for upgrade to complete
6. once upgrade is complete ,it will auto turn off
7.remove tf card
8. turn on tablet

Note.you may have to repeat this process if you have firmware problems in the future
Caution
this upgrade may erase all your database in the tablet.

i cant test this as my tablet is now fixed but it should be no probs as all were doing here is cloning the sdcard with a fix thats covers All t-909 s

I HAVE SET IT UP AS A TORRENT pm me for torrent file

I have tried to contact meer.sheh@digimate.com directly and through this forum, I received 1 email back advising that the file I sent with the documents could not be opened, resent this straight away and have heard nothing back. DGM are an absolute joke, tempted to send the item back for a refund and pay twice as much for another tablet.

Come on DGM, get your act together.

A few nags with the tablet.... the volume output is very very low... and it's on max vol...
Also the display ain't that great.... I have an ipad 1 and the display is still 10 times better than this one,
The viewing angle is very odd and the resolution is not that good too, compared to my ipad 1.
However video playback is good, no hassle with converting first... it plays almost everything..
How is battery life ??? With only browsing here and about one hour and a half of use the battery level is already down to 38% and brightness is set at half.. is this normal ???

I'd like to listen to the radio and watching iplayer and I can't. After spending a lot of time going around trying to fix the problem I reached a page saying that google play does not support this tablet. This tablet is not on the list of supported androids. That's that. The page suggested that I contact the manufacturer. Did anyone else got that?

Hi,

In regards to coopigeon's post if you do go ahead with this and something goes wrong DGM will not take any responsibility for the damage.

If you cannot watch videos can you go to the Google Play Store and download the flash player once you have done this there should be no problems regarding videos or radio.

Allan I believe I have dealt with your request via my email response.

If you have any problems the TF card fix will solve them provided they are to do with Google Play, WiFi and any other bugs that my be present in the tablet.

If there are any problems email me at: meer.sheh@digimate.com, I have dealt with many queries and am continuing to do so.

Any reason why you can't put the fix on your website/online somewhere? It's obvious it's a relatively common issue.

From a PR/customer satisfaction perspective, it would probably be a good idea to have a fix readily available for everyone that's experiencing the issue, rather than making already frustrated users jump through hoops for a fix. What about pushing it out as an OTA Update?

Just an outsiders suggestion.

I asked them the same question but on inspection on the tf card the files are not visible its like in an image form that just shows as a used space of 473mb so i can see how they might think this is not possible ,,, however there are ways and means of creating the tf card like i did,

I understand also the implications of doing what i did regarding warranties and it is entirely up to the user i suppose but for me the process of getting the card from DGM was a right chew as im up the other end of the country to where all the paperwork was for the RMA forms.

It is however certain if this had a toshiba, hp, sony or any other tag a downloadable fix or over the air update would be available instantly..perhaps its the price you we pay for swimming with the little fish .

Have now been told that I will have the fix tomorrow, lets wait and see.
I bought a DGM TV for my mum and have been really impressed with it but I have to say that I will certainly think twice before buying anything else from this company. This should not have taken so long to resolve and been so painful for so many customers.

I was given this tablet as a gift for my Daughter but it seems I too have a dud! Unfortunately the thing was purchased from Groupon by somebody I no longer have any contact with so cannot provide voucher or proof of postage.

Does this mean I may as well bin it as I can't see this company posting me any fixit cards to resolve the damn thing!..... If anybody has received said 'fix' do they know of any way I could get hold of it? Please help a very disappointed little lady!!
