I too, have the same problem with my wife's new DGM T-909. I've tried leaving the tablet connected for over 2 hours and still it says "downloading". I don't have a microSD card inserted but there is plenty of internal storage. I cannot get a reply from the DGM customer/technical support and I'm not impressed.

I too, and had the same problem, and as kamdroid123 i thought maybe some or all of aps may be saved to sd card so put new, and still the same problem.
I managed to get through to dgm and explained the problem, and was told they are aware of the problem and i had to leave email address so they could email me with a fix link when they sort it, this set alarm bells ringing and i have returned it before the returns period expired. hope this has answered your question, if you are prepared to wait for a fix contact customer services @ dgm and supply them with your email address.

Hi, we are looking into why it is taking a while to download apps from the market place and will reply on this thread shortly. There is however, no problem with the actual software
and no 'software fix' as the problem is not related to software. In the last few weeks we have sold countless tablets and this is the first time we hearing of this particular problem. I will get back shortly with a range of options as to what can be done to fix the problem.

Hi, we apologize for any trouble you may have been having with the tablets, however are you sure you are connected to wifi and also have you downloaded any other apps or can you not download any apps whatsoever? We are not having any problems with tablets tested on our end and no other customers are having any of these problems once you are sure you are connected to wifi reply on this thread and I will be able to talk you through a fix.

Hi DGM_UK, I was told by your Customer Services that this is a known problem and that there have been loads of complaints. I personally have WiFi connected and have followed all the correct procedures. I connect to the store and selected the app but all I get is the blue scroll bar saying "downloading" but that progress bar is just sitting there and scrolling left to right. I have since downloaded a raw .APK file from the internet to my desktop PC and pasted into the tablet and installed it from there and it works. However, this is not practical when you are on the move. I can give you the names of the Customer Service personnel that I have spoken to if this will help. I am not impressed.

This is why you don't buy generic tablets. They never work, and you end up with more pain and suffering than it is worth. Save up, spend the extra $50 on a real device. These types of "budget" devices give Android a black eye.

Hi, I am trying to sort out your problem I have tested a few tablets and in all of them when I start the tablet and go to the android market place and it asks if I want to update the software for the market place; once I have agreed to update the software the apps download properly. If you did however do this and it still is not working can you please email me your contact details: meer.sheh@digimate.com and I will contact you personally and see if I can resolve the problem for you over the phone. Please be assured all I am doing at the moment is trying to resolve your issue.

Hi DGM_UK, I have tried to download a weather app to test the DGM T-909. First of all, it does not ask for an update so I checked and saw that the version I have for the Google Play Store is 3.4.7. I still could not download. If you have a fix, I am happy for you to call me. I've sent you an email with my details as per your post above.

i have just spoken to the guy at dmg and it seems as though the tablet hasnt loaded google play even if the google play tab is shown on the home screen, the 2 are not correctly sync'd, he has suggested I return it and they will send me out a new one,( bit of a worry as it took 3 weeks to get the first one) it seems a lot of the problems have been in the last few days so may have been a bad batch

Please try this and tell me if it works:

Tap Menu > Settings > Apps>
Find the ""All"" tab
Scroll down to Play Store and tap to select
Tap "Uninstall updates"

Reboot your tablet and then once rebooted open the Google Play Store app, agree with the terms and conditions. Then try and download a simple app such as right move.

Also if you look at the tablet there is no camera at the back, so there is only front view.

I have trawled the internet and it seems to be a google problem not just with our tablets,

Issue 34238 - android - issue with new google play store v3.7.13 in samsung galaxy s plus-GT-I9001 - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

if you scroll down to the bottom to see the latest posts. Please be assured while we are looking to resolve the problem, it may be a google android fault in which case we have to wait until they bring out a fix.

OK DGM_UK, I tried one more thing. I am using Play Store app version 3.4.7 which came pre-installed on my DGM T-909 and had trouble as in posts above. I downloaded the Google Play Store .apk file from Google Play Store 3.8.17 APK | Full APK Android Apps which lists the version as 3.8.17. This directed me to GeekFiles1.in for the actual download which I did on my desktop PC. I copied/pasted it to the tablet and installed it there. I was prompted and accepted to replace the pre-installed version. I cleared the cache and the data. I tried to download a free app from the store and still got the "never-ending" downloading scroll notification. I then fell back to version 3.4.17 by uninstalling updates and still have the same problem. I see from your posts that you have been successful with your test tablets so could you let us know what version of the Google Play Store you had success with as I am not convinced it is entirely a Google problem otherwise you would not have had success.

Every tablet we have tested we have had no problems with the Play store version we have is 3.8.17 which works fine and when we uninstall the updates it reverts back to 3.5.15 which again works fine. We are still searching for a fix, however one customer has agreed to send theirs to us so we can work on a tablet which actually has the problem and then we can get a fix and issue it so this problem is resolved. We will however keep trying to find a solution, I have emailed Google and hopefully they get back to me shortly in regards to what a potential fix could be.

Can I also ask you to check that your firewall is not blocking the download as this is a potential cause to the problem

In addition to the post above, I have successfully managed to download apps on another device (a Samsung phone) running the same version of Google Play store, so I don't think the problem stems from there.

We understand this is frustrating and you did not expect to have this problem. We may have narrowed down the problem, from what everyone is saying you have the Play Store icon on the main menu but when you go to apps under settings it is not there? Am I correct in this?

No it is there, the tablet shows that it's going to start downloading, but it never goes past that and does not download a thing, including any updates to apps pre loaded onto the tablet.

Yes you are correct but the reason behind the downloading error might be this, we know the problem is the downloading but to fix it we need to find out what is wrong within the software. What I posted before has the potential to cause the errors you are experiencing. Refering to my earlier post are correct in saying that under settings and apps the Play Store is not there.

I am having exactly the same problem with mine that arrived on Monday. Not happy that they sent them out knowing that there are problems. I'll be contacting them to arrange a refund quoting the sale of goods act and distance selling regs. Waste of time.

I've bought a tablet from them in the past and the quality was very poor for the price, if you can get a refund then do so guys.

You can pickup the Nexus 7 for 150, these DGM tablets are probably worth 50-60 in comparision. I hope you didn't spend much on them.

You need to make the play store a system app. Hopefully, this comes with root access.

If you can use a file explorer, grab the vending.apk and move it to sys/apps. Reboot, and it will be a system app. It should work. Otherwise, you'll have to use adb, which is not my specialty.

We also got dgm t-909 tablet from Group-on deal. Wi-fi works and we can downloaded from Play store. Only issue is that some apps states that we can't download due to our country. Any ideas since we are in the UK and can't even download BBC iplayer? Angry Birds doesn't work but STV player downloaded and works ok.

Our product is registered with Android, not doing so would be illegal and we would not sell a product without the correct permissions from the software developer at all.

hex191: This issue is do to with your ISP as your location is determined from your internet connection, I my self have encountered this problem with my laptop and it is an ISP problem.
