Hi friends i just purchased flytouch 3 and it arrived today. When i pressed the power button it just vibrates and does not powers on. Please help me what to do as i am very tense as this is my first android tablet...... waiting for your reply. please anyone help me

I updated to Tim2b. Now Angry Birds don't want to install. It says "Unknown reason -18"
I think Tim's later versions fixed this problem but if you don't want to upgrade, try removing the SD card and then install 'Birds. Apparently some apps are showing this error if you try to install them with the SD card mounted.

Seems to work ok. The Apps from the Market download very slow compared to the stock firmware?
You mentioned it would be a good start. Are there other options for firmware that may be better?

"Better" is subjective with these ROMs. Some have certain aspects that work better than others, so it really depends what you want to use it for. Also, person A will have issues with a certain ROM that person B won't - maybe due to some tablets being clones?
If I were you, I'd stick with what works well for my particular needs, download Titanium & back up, then try some others in the fullness of time.

Yes the CPU has 800 mhz, Ram has 512 mb but 372 is for OS, the rest of it belongs to grapfics.
So why do they advertise and not as 1ghz 800mhz. Does my product is fake? I can not install any 3D game on this machine. Can you help me in other problems I mentioned? I have good news for you... I have just bought a microsd 32 gb (Sandisk Class 4) - and the card is working perfectly (I am on Tim's 3d FW)
Hi I just got my Flytouch3 Superpad III, I'm really new at all this...
1) I'm unble to download any Android Maket App give me an error download was unsuccessful please try again...
PS: I already formated a 16gb sd card.. not sure where to go from here ! SOS !!!
Try removing the SD card (if you have one inserted) before attempting to install your apps, but be sure to properly "unmount" the card before removing it, I use the "my pad" app for this purpose, but you can do it thru the settings app as well I believe. Many apps will not install with the SD card in, I had this problem with Angry Birds, but once I removed it, the install completed successfully with no trouble. Some apps need access to the SD card (check the "permissions" tab before installing) so you'll need to leave it in for those, but some apps will not install at all on the FT3 due to incompatibility issues, at least that has been my experience.

This is normal, mine says the same thing. From what I understand, about 2gb is taken by the OS and I assume the other 1.2 gig or so is used by the pre-installed apps or other resources etc. The good news is the available 800mb is more internal storage space than you might imagine, I have installed about 6 to 8 Market apps so far and am still showing well over 780 gb remaining, and at that rate I could install roughly 70-80 apps, so I really have no concerns about running out of space for apps anytime soon. The other option would be to put your apps (those that will allow it) on your SD card.

The 2 files need to be copied to the root directory. I don't think any chronological order is indicated, but you need to also start with a clean, freshly formatted sd card no matter what.
Hi, i'm new to this but i need some help.
i have a FT3 16GB. understand the internal storage is partition 4/12GB.
i downloaded some apps and that goes to the internal 4GB.
can i shift these apps to the other internal memory with 12GB??
i downloaded "app 2 SD" but when i open any app within the "movable" the "move to SD card" tabdid not light up. so is it movable or not??

You can see on the first pic that the 2nd SD slot is definitely not present and it has an ARM11 processor (Infotmic X220). Also it highlights (pic 3) how easy it is to upgrade the internal memory because it's only a micro SD card.
You say you "fried" your tablet using an aftermarket 5V-2A charger. A similar event may have happened to me except it was the DC supply sent w/tablet from ebay seller. Initially the unit seemed to charge (1min or so?) then LED light went out. I checked DC transformer with meter and it was dead. I was able to initially reset unit to turn on via; back button+menu+power, but it just said to go to charger and turned itself off. Subsequently I opened unit, mechanically tightened DC plug inlet and checked out SD card. The SD card (4G) had only about 200mb physical size via "properties" when checked on PC through USB adapter. How can I know if board is fried and not worth messing with? It will start up vibrator and light screen/LED for a few seconds then turn off. I've put all new firmware that I know of on the internal SD(a new one). Help?!!

Please find below download links for the third edition of firmware released for the Superpad2 FlyTouch3.
This edition includes Adobe Flash 10.1 and also resolves the minor issues running Angry Birds in the previous firmware release.
To install the firmware, download the .zip on a PC from the link below. Extract the contents of the zip on a PC and copy the two files to the root directory of a formatted TF- Flash Card. Note* the root directory of the TF-card is the highest main directory location on the card, such as c:/ on a PC.
The two extracted files must be placed in the root directory of the TF-card. Insert the card in to the Superpad2 FlyTouch3 and power on the tablet. The installation will be automatic.
This firmware has been fully tested. It is still recommended to use the Vimeo+YouTube.apk for viewing video. You may now watch video directly within the browser using Flash, but the high quality of video playback with the Vimeo YouTube app is slightly better.

I've only had it a few days, and i seem to have been online looking for a solution to my problem since day 1.
I have a 16gb fat formatted SD Card which the FT can see but not see anything one it.
Also, how do I install Flash?
I have android market pre-installed and works fine, but when i go to andoid online it says I cannot download Amazon.co.uk app stating it cannot download in my country....i'm in the UK; then i read somewhere that google android market is not compatible with tablets.
I am getting rather confused with it all, I see everyone talking firmware updates and I have no idea what to do next, all i really want is it to see my SD card so i can play music and install Flash for you tube!
I have a Superpad 2. When I plug intothe TV via HDMI cable videobox videos fill the screen but my Mpeg4 videos just fill a small oblong in the middle. Is there anything I can do about this please. Newbie and I can't seem to find a suitable thread.

hi i have installed tims 2b on my flytouch 3 and it worked great i have installed in on my mates one and the screen dosnt line up its about a cm lower than it should and it over laps on to the top par on the screen any advice
I was able to "debrick" my flytouch 3 superpad 2 with these instructions. Only thing I might add is to copy the files to the root of the SD card, not the folders. I copied the folder to the card and it didn't work. I copied the files and it did work. Anyhoo, thanks so very much. WOOHOO!
Is that a question? Koval, the Flytouch 3 DOES support Flash 10.1 just very poorly. The assumption is that Flash isn't optimized for the ARMv6(Not ARM11) processor.

I used Tim's 4e update at Deposit Files and got a firmware upgrade and 3G is now working after I switched it on in Gscript which installed atomatically. Good update even the external keyboard allows @ characters etc which it would not initially. Well recommended upgrade and simple to use. Even the tablet did not start to vibrate insanely.

I believe it is because that version doesn't partition the card properly ie: you don't see all the available space.

However, when I tried to re-install my market widgets, I got the error message that there was not enough room to install them. What happened? Did you upgrade take that much room? Please advise,

When I first got this device i was kind of frustrated.
Then i started trying new firmware. This thing is getting each time better.

I'm satisfied with this firmware, except for the SD CARD issue (cant install app's and use it from the sd card), and other little things, like the screen's brightness, etc...
Think about trying the lastest tim firmware. (4e)
So, anyone has used this firmware and the lastest tim one?
The Tim ones are much better than this one im using now?
Which kind of problems has the tim lastest version?

Hi all,
I'm new to the site. My DISCO10 arrived today. Which firmware should I flash it to?
Edit: I used Tim's 5a install as his Flytouch had the same system specs as mine. It works like a charm. It is much faster than the stock setup. My only problem is that the charger they sent with the tablet has a plug that is too small for the tablet, and I have to babysit it to make sure it stays in place.

I Have Just purchase Fly Touch Super Pad 3 Model# P041, Android 2.2V2.6 #4402, Kernel Version 2.6.32.9, Root@localhost#48, Build Number FRF85B I am trying to do Update to "tim2b", I have downloaded 20110110_Tim2b and extracted files, copy to a TF-Card which I formatted with SD Formatter 3.0 for SD/SDHC/SDXC, place it in the tablet turn it on and does not do the update, it reads the card but does not do the update can some please help

Sonny you can-not use use Tims roms on your tablet or any Disco model firmware, you have the lastest upgrade model po41 they is just the firmware that is on your tablet out at moment, roms will be coming very soon for the po41 you just have to wait,you have a new motherboard installed,larger battery,9v charger, better speakers,etc,so when the tweeked roms come they will be a very good tablet

my flytouch wont flash new tim v5a rom
i followed all instructions but when i reboot my flytouch with tims v5a it only shows an "android world" logo then a linux penguin then an animated "android world" logo then starts as normal, ive used a freshly formatted card and the only files on it are the boot files, Firmware2 and firmware-discovery, do i put those in a folder of some sort? i cant figure this out help please!
update: ok i think i found out based on the previous post, i also have a p041 and im guessing it wont update because of that, its:

wow i thought you were going to say you flashed a TIMS on a po41 thats correct you can't but they will be some new roms appearing very soon and a new manufacturer firmware is coming out soon also
YOU WILL NEED A MICRO SD CARD AND THE MEANS OF GETTING FILES ONTO IT FROM YOUR COMPUTER.YOU DO THIS UPGRADE AT YOUR OWN RISK - I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSABLE. I AM TOO BUSY TO OFFER FULL SUPPORT ON THIS BUT I WILL TRY AND HELP YOU IF YOU GET REALLY STUCK.
Download and save file to your computer
format your micro sd card to FAT32.
un-zip the contents of the file you have downloaded.
copy all of the un-zipped folders to your micro sd card.
make sure your tablet pc is plugged into the mains.
fully shut down your tablet pc.
insert the micro sd card into the tablet pc.
turn on the tablet pc.
your tablet pc will now update - this will take a few mins.
when it has finished the device will shut down and then start vibrating continuously.
remove the micro sd card from the tablet pc.
hold down the power button for about 8 seconds so the device shuts down and stops vibrating.
Turn the tablet pc back on again.
Your device is now updated!

I completed the update everything seems to work fine only when i turn the device on it starts to screech (from the mic) its really loud and i cant get it to stop any suggestions?
i just got my flytouch 3. advertised by seller it is INFORTM 1GHz CPU
i have a few questions
1) I check the CPU speed using a free apps in market and it clock at 800MHz. Is this normal?
2) i am running low on disc space and use the "advanced sd card manager" and it manage to find quite a few apps that can be moved to sd card. However, when i click the apps that i want to move, the "move to sd card" is grey color. i have check my other android phone, it is not grey and can be moved
I have just bought a microsd 32 gb (Sandisk Class 4) - and the card is working perfectly (I am on Tim's 3d FW)
