New Official Superpad2 FlyTouch3 Firmware Download With Adobe Flash 10.1 (Third Release)
Greetings tablet users,
Please find below download links for the third edition of firmware released for the Superpad2 FlyTouch3.
This edition includes Adobe Flash 10.1 and also resolves the minor issues running Angry Birds in the previous firmware release.
To install the firmware, download the .zip on a PC from the link below. Extract the contents of the zip on a PC and copy the two files to the root directory of a formatted TF- Flash Card. Note* the root directory of the TF-card is the highest main directory location on the card, such as c:/ on a PC.
The two extracted files must be placed in the root directory of the TF-card. Insert the card in to the Superpad2 FlyTouch3 and power on the tablet. The installation will be automatic.
This firmware has been fully tested. It is still recommended to use the Vimeo+YouTube.apk for viewing video. You may now watch video directly within the browser using Flash, but the high quality of video playback with the Vimeo YouTube app is slightly better.
Important Update: If you recently received your new tablet PC, we suggest holding off on re-flashing any new firmware, including official firmware and user created firmware. This is while some screen size compatibility issues are resolved with newer units.
Regards
aPadTVadmin

Official Superpad 2 Flytouch 3 Firmware V5 Release for 576 screens
Please find below an official firmware release V5 (for x576 screen support), as currently recommended by the iBex factory for 1024x576 resolution Superpad 2 Flytouch 3's.
Also find below an update to the Adobe Flash Player including better support for in browser video playback (best results have been reported by removing the current Flash player and then rebooting, then installing the new updated Flash player).
Do not use this firmware on tablets with x600 resolution screens.
Note* if you are not sure what type of screen you have on your tablet, use a system info app before you attempt to re-flash this firmware. This is to check and confirm you require the x576 release including bootloader. If you have already re-flashed a firmware and now have a screen clipping issue the system info app will not report the correct settings, in which case post below or check out the Screen Position thread for further details.

Hi criminalogic.
Its my belief that on any flytouch Flash will never work no mater what firmware or android version. This is because that flash is not supported by the Arm processor in the flytouch devices. the best solution i have found is to use Skyfire web browser. This will run some (not all) flash websites.
Hope this helps
Colin

Please note that the first time you power up it will setup android 2.1 and this process can take some time so the ANDROID screen will sit there for longer than usual. Be patient and the calibration will start before long.
The instructions you quoted list android 2.1 isn't this Android 2.2?

No specific yes or no yet from the manufacturer, but they are working on it. Not all 2.2 devices have flash yet. When it's in Market it means it's compatible with your device, it maybe released as an update or it may come within a new ROM. All unconfirmed at present.

Those instructions came from a second party. The lead instructions came from the official site.
As you can see, i only eluded to the part about pressing the reset button.

Well the reason is i have sold a number of these tablets for chingrabber and was told my new orders now support Flash after this new update?
I asked for the update file and was just refered to apad.tv and This seems to be the same update.
Thanks everyone

got youtube working, install mini browser and skyfire from the market
browse youtube on mini then play any vid an option will pop up click use with skyfire bingo
angry birds needs to be installed minus the sdcard in the machine, and downiloaded from market from your browser not market app. then it will install successfully
id imagine many games could work this way too!
oh and is it possible to run cyanogenmod Os on the superpad 2,
is it any better or what?
I can't get live wallpaper to run.
I download an app, it install, i press menu, wallpaper, But no live wallpaper name or folder.
Has anyone got this to work?
I just got my FT3 and I have a completely different android version. Funny that they're the same build. And yes Flash works marginally(bad color) on this FT3.

Android version: Android2.2-20110302

Im a reseller for the FT3, and recently getting the newer firmware versions. 20110302
i can notice the newer firmwares support youtube, angry birds and flash. and are without lagg in the UI. Could someone compile an update of the newer firmware?
I have that exact firmware and can confirm that it does NOT support angry birds, flash runs but with heavy video issues, and I don't really use youtube so that I can't speak to. The UI is pretty snappy but the above issues were not fixed in this firmware release.
i receive my tablet whit frimware march 2011 version but i have problems, gps dont work, many programs like videobox, youtube dont work, game like angry birds works perfect.

I'm very new to android, got my FT3 just 2 weeks ago. I can't confirm which firmware update I used but it appears to be the latest release from apad.tv. I can confirm that Flash works, albeit slowly, Youtube works but could stand to have some bugs worked out, and Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and every other game that wouldn't install successfully like Raging Thunder, Winds Of Steel and Labyrinth have all been installed with ease. But there is a trick to it and I don't know if it's a result of the firmware update or not BUT... Once you update your tablet to the latest firmware release (version 3 on apad.tv) YOU MUST THEN UNMOUNT AND REMOVE THE TF CARD. Once that's done, go to market and download til rapture. Replace TF card and everything works splendidly. Enjoy, and You're Welcome.

Nope, I think the firmware is broken because it looks like it reformatted the 4GB filesystem as a 1GB filesystem and the only way to fix this is to get a new build(OR a custom ROM) which we don't have yet.

Interestingly enough that does work. Who would think to pull their sd to install an app?
I know, right? I would never, EVER have thought to do that to get an app to install. It seems so counter-intuitive because most apps won't install without the SD card. Crazy. Dealing with Mac & Windows is like being a jet-setting, millionaire, financier... it's all so easy. With Android.... I'm an auto mechanic. I just gotta roll my sleeves up, get in there, soil my hands and start turning wrenches until the GD thing does what I tell it too.
Apad.tv also has a tutorial on how to root FT3 without using a usb cable and connecting to a pc @ Guide : How to root the Flytouch 3. The post is from poweruser77, the first post in the thread. He gives a link to all the instruction in a screen-shot/power-point type of format. BE CAREFUL TO READ THE ENTIRE THREAD as there is a critical step omitted in the power-point instructions. Mixterz gives a fix for this omission on page 2, post #3. Once completed you will have superuser permissions which some apps require.

Also be aware that it's partially incorrect as I've noted before. When you add a shortcut, it's going to be to Activities -> Settings -> Development. The rest is good.
Just an FYI, whatever you do don't post anything questioning the new firmware on apad.tv forums. I asked for someone to address the issues, especially the <1GB free after installing the latest firmware and they banned me from the forums.

Lastly some Market apps will not install with an SD/TF card present. If you remove the card, the app will install and the card can be replaced. However if you need to update the app, you will again need to remove the card. Please address these concerns. Thank you.
The files system with Flash requires more space, if this can be optimized in later editions of the firmware it will be done, I consider the matter closed for the time being. It's verified and confirmed the memory storage of the tablet is 4GB, I will not enter into any further speculation regarding the matter. Any further paranoid injections regarding the space required will be deleted, and subsequent further injections of propaganda will result in lifetime bans.
Flash reserves memory space for caching, and how Android handles memory is not like a PC. The second edition of the firmware without Flash is still available if users prefer more space to store things in internal storage.
I'll stop "injecting paranoia" when they start answering my questions.... 3.2GB for a ROM ha!!!
And I thought they were supposed to have the ARM11 processor. I noticed on your print screen that you did a little while ago it was showing the ARMv6 (same as mine). Am I just reading this wrong??
it was advertised to come with that, but once found out it was a lie a mass return of the product happened in china that was the FT2
it would out sell the ipad for that price if it had it.
i knew this before i bought it also.
sure you dont see any of us being able to play any decent quality games on the thing angry birds for now lol. want a decent machine get a laptop.
this is only a gadget as far as i see it.
Hello, first post, so wondered if anyone can assist...?
I have a SuperPad III Android 2.2 tablet and wanted to flash the software to factory settings as the RJ45 connector locks the system when you insert the cable. It is running DISCO. I have some files that I have been given to do this, but wondered if I should and if so how do I do it...?
hey Spotter18 if you install the latest firmware it resets everything automatically so try that.
in settings in piracy i think its in there, theres an option for factory reset also!
dont forget if its rooted you can backup all your settings and apps before you do it!
also before you do it make sure its not the wire itself try a different one if you havent already!
personally i only use the wifi never tried the lan cable, but when i use the hdmi cable it jams it too . sounds more like software issues to me.

flytouch 3 is also the superpad 2
flytouch 3 has 1 sdcard port, flytouch2 has 2 ports.
if you look through the forum you'll see how to support the online streaming , also its in its early days and new updates are constantly trying to fix issues
make sure you have the latest firmware installed you can find it here or on apad.tv forum

I would first see if i already have the latest firmware update, Then if i decided to update i would use the latest official update which in this case is the third release.
Read all the comments on this thread about the pros & cons.
Could someone send me the file /data/misc/tscal/pointercal that's on the flytouch3? I have a flytouch2 myself, and need this file to attempt to get touchscreen calibration working on that tablet.
You must have calibrated your touchscreen before this file exists.
Is that a question? Koval, the Flytouch 3 DOES support Flash 10.1 just very poorly. The assumption is that Flash isn't optimized for the ARMv6(Not ARM11) processor.

Angry birds should install on 20110302 if you pull the SD card first.

Hi. I purchased a SuperPad III that arrived 2 days ago.
The power adapter stopped working after just one day but I have spare that I could use.
The real big problem I have is the G-sensors are messed up. I works when you rotate the home screen but not for games like Labrinyth and racing games - I think the axis are reverse.
Does anyone have the same experience and what is the fix?
i am newbie on Flytouch. I bought the Flytouch 3 and i was angry, that the AngryBirds did not work "fast" it was slow. I read this Thread and decided to update with the Firmware from this thread. Installing was successfully, at Optionsmenu i saw sometimes chinese characters but everything worked (Angry Birds did run like it should) - Problem is now, that it hang up after a time and i want to turn it back on - it shakes and does not stop shaking this stays as long i press the reset button. Can anyone help me out with that? Is there an older Firmware, which i can download? Thank you, regards
