Default Flytouch 6 WoPad V10

I bought a Flytouch 6 WoPad V10 if that is the real name. It is a very good tablet probably the best for the price $119 on the market. It a great improvement over my old ZT-180. It will do video streaming from Netflix and video over Skype all on wi-fi. Android 2.3 is a big improvement over 2.2. This proudly makes this tablet work much better than my ZT-180. I have listed the specifications below. This tablet may also be called “10 inch Vimicro VC882 tablet pc v10” I have put a link below to the web site for this tablet. I’m looking for information on a link to the firmware for this tablet also any information on how to root this tablet.

Dart16 I don’t know what it cost in Europe but I ordered it from the US it was delivered in 6 days. Thanks for the info on the link I posted. I found it when I was looking for the firmware, before I try to root the tablet.

Furball999 Where did you purchase your Wopad V10 at? Also, does your HDMI work?

Four vectors No the HDMI does not work, but to me that is not a big problem. The HDMI is said to be fixed in the next firmware update. The problem is I cannot even find the original firmware for the tablet. I bought this tablet from hxxp://www.techtoys2go.com. I have one question for you have you found a way to root this tablet? The problem with Techtoys is they sell them but will not support them. I have sent 2 emails about the firmware with no response.

Furball999, I have just been over to apad.tv looking for your firmware as ************ are selling the FT5 (their name for it). They expect to be releasing a firmware update for it today.....

I noticed while i was there that the plonker of an Admin is still up to his old tricks...he wrote..

Hello Mr newpost,

The Zenithink Z102 is easily the worst tablet I've tried this year, it's a dead donkey. Also the cheapest constructed tablet I've used. ibex Flytouch 5 is excellent, I'm testing one out as I write this message..

Some things will never change!!

Its in one of the threads here

Dart16 thanks for the info. If the Flytouch 5 is the same tablet I have I’m real happy with it. It will do video streaming from Netflix and video over Skype all on Wi-Fi. Like I said in my post before the main problem I have with it is I have not found a way to root it yet.

furball999 I have been looking but to no avail on the root issue. Does everything else work well on that device? Full access to market, battery life, wifi, the works? Oh, was yours shipped from China?

Thanks for all the responses. Hey, are you going to do the firmware update for the HDMI? If so, please post back how it went. Thanks again!

I see from your posts that you are happy with your Flytouch 6.... thats great...no doubt you are glad you didn't waste $50 buying it with an iBex cardboard box.

Dart16 after looking into this clone thing I think it is more of a case of the same tablet with a different name. I think I will wait to do the upgrade for a week or two and see if anyone has problems. This should flush out if it is a clone or not.

[sigh]

not a clone, not a genuine, not a fake

The Flytouch 6 you have is exactly the same as the iBex Flytouch5, it has a Vimicro A8 cpu on a pcb manufactured by Vimicro. It is also known as a Wopad V10, which, if you care to look, is exactly what iBex has for their Flytouch 5!! ************ and their tame apad.tv admin have always propagated this rubbish about iBex being the one and only genuine Flytouch sellers....they do it to try and justify over-pricing their stock. Buy your tablet from where you like... I have no ties with any manufacturer....************s propaganda department just pi$$es me off!!

Dart16 you are 100% correct on the information you posted about the tablet names. ************s has still not posted the firmware update that they said they were doing 2 days ago. That bunch over at ************s may have a real problem with some of their admins and the information they are putting out.

Yeh...nothing changes does it!! They are still spouting the same rhetoric... propaganda is what it is!! At least the iBex fanboi tend to stay over on apad.tv and soak it all up from the admin there......

you're selling the z102 now aren't you?.... hows that going?

hi
Dart selling quite a few models moved on of course from Disco the z102 i can say are a very good machine biggest disappointment the 4GB, but faster alround then the flytouch arm11 chip. And biggest selling point paid apps of course.Just got some flytouch superpad 6 {V1} cortex A8 delivered 8GB at a silly price of $130 with case and keyboards, the loudest speakers i have seen on any model flytouch/superpads,and again very impressed with the difference from a upgraded cortex chip and i could go on about the other tablets i have running the cortex A9,but they are plenty of threads running what i would be saying. any way dart i'm happy your at home here with android forums keep busy and all the best

Four vectors just got an email from hxxp://www.techtoys2go.com the place that I got my flytouch 6 from. They told me the new firmware is out and is shipping on the tablets they just got in from the factory. Not only do they have the best price on the internet market they may also support what they sell. I will keep you up-to-date if I really do get the firmware update from them. Who know when ************s will post the firmware up on their web site.

Flytouch 6 is the name for copied versions of the ibex Flytouch 5. I'm glad they are not trying to call the low quality clones flytouch 5, as now it's very easy to spot a fake. Simple, just check the name, if it says flytouch 6 it's a low quality copy.
I don't see why people get so uptight about this issue. You get what you pay for.

Shame the HDMi is not working on the fake Flytouch 6 amongst other problems. From first accounts it works fine on the ibex flytouch 5. The same? well it doesn't look that way. Let's hope the clones are compatible, then at least people who are suckered into buying a flytouch 6 don't lose out completely.

Who in their right mind would seriously try and stand behind the name Flytouch 6, when everyone knows the Flytouch 5 has just been released by ibex.

Yea it is very obvious isn't it. Still you'll always get some guys who are wearing fake Addidas sports shoes who stand there and get angry as they shout about how they didn't get ripped off and their shoes are not fake, even though they bought them for ten bucks from a farmers market.
The way I see it, ibex's Flytouch 5 was released first, so that makes it the original.

How is the viewing angle is flytouch 5/6? Is it better than 3? Does one side gets darker and the other brighter when you hold it as a portrait to read books and comics?

Still isnt the capacitive screen just the front touch screen? I would love a capacitive screen but if the angle of view is still the same it would not interest me.

for my needs a flytouch 5 is more than enough
sure if we should play a heavy game then do well to spend $ 70-80 more ....
I come from a ZT-180 and the jump in quality is remarkable ....

I just got executed just a test of my wonderful and very quick SUPERPAD 6
This is the result with the quadrant standard

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

Then I would say that this C91 is not much faster ...
whereas I paid $ 110!!

I saw scores of C91 of 1770! so inferior to mine!

I would bet my last pair of socks that the FT5 & 6 firmwares are compatible now as they are both built from the same system board, but until someone posts that they have done it and both firmwares work on their FT5/6 we can't be sure. Perhaps when your FT5 arrives you will be the one to try it.

This does NOT mean that the tablets are the same. As many non-iBex clone units' wifi stops working once firmware has been upgraded. So, it is best to confirm your tablet is compatible with the latest firmware releases or you could brick your tablet.

No not correct a vimicro flytouch V10 cortex A8 as been released you just went to a box company and had a box made for 50 cents that says IBEX then you charge customers upto $70 more for a 50 cent box with a vimicro flytouch V10 cortex A8 tablet inside PERIOD unless of course you can give everyone you chatter your rubbish to the IBEX manufacturer in shenzen, i bet you can give the box maker of IBex in Shenzen

truth mate i'm pretty let-down by the manufacturer and there firmware, they released the updated firmware on the 5th december, then realised they was a issue with the new android market, then they released the original flash firmware using a usb to usb. That was 4 weeks ago and the firmware with the 3D box on all they had to do was change the market for 2.3.6 and it would have been working, but no there sat on there hands picking there ars*s
on the video's i have not tried it as i'm a reseller they are just sat here waiting for a firmware i can flash by sd-card,which by all accounts should be ready in 1st week of january with all fixes done, they are a really good tablet against the ARMII 2.2 android flytouches, but after these are gone i'm sticking with the zenithink Z102 there going to be upgraded to android 4.0 ICS (ice cream sandwich and they run really well, i have just sold 150 in 10 days

Oh ok, nice. What I didn't like about the Z102 was it was only able to go up to 16gb instead of 32.

Try setting up the pairing on a PC first, then transfer the dongle to your tablet.

Hi, all!

My first day here on the forums. Mother, Dart, your participation in this thread helped me decide what I wanted to buy for my first Android tablet. After doing my homework, poking around all the forums and sites I felt were reliable, I decided to pick up a Flytouch 6 WoPad V10 from TechToys2Go. Their website was not just legible, but written in native English (which helped *me* a ton), and they seemed knowledgeable about their products.

I'm amused by the banter in this thread. It reminds me of the old IBM-PC days, when no matter what CPU you had under the hood, if it was x86-based, it was referred to as an IBM. Seems that's exactly what is going on here.

My WoPad V10 has a Vimicro CPU under the hood. Some of the other "Flytouch"-style pads have Infotmic CPUs, and there are others out there. The list goes on. Time will tell how semantic this all is. But at the end of the day, I'm happy with my purchase, and EXTREMELY happy with the support from the people I bought it from.

Thanks for the information share.

- Sark
