How to disable the GPS on the Flytouch III Super Pad

HOW TO DISABLE THE GPS ON A FLYTOUCH SUPER PAD!!

I discovered on my Flytouch III Super Pad that once you enable the GPS, you cannot disable it; HOWEVER, I discovered the secret this morning!

You go to "Settings" and under "Location & security settings" find the 'Use GPS Satellites" option and UNCHECK it.

THAT worked!! No need to reformat your Super Pad and never use GPS again...THAT is where you ALSO need to go in order to disable the GPS so you can save your battery!! So there are 2 places to go to disable the GPS...just don't forget this one...I hope this helps everyone!!

I found if my gps was not running my wifi wouldn't work..........anyone else with this issue?

oh FYI complete noob to android and pads etc

No reason whey that should be the case....the wifi works independently of the gps and visa-versa. The only time you need both to be switched on is when using google maps because it needs the internet to download location maps on the fly and it needs the gps for a positional fix.
