Haven't looked at the article, but it sounds very like a scam to me!

Not a scam, Google is looking for beta testers. If I had the money I would definitely pick up a pair. Can't wait to see the final product (which should be much, much lower in cost).

Beta testers usually aren't charged for the privilege.

If you paid 1500$ for a set you're going to be damn sure you get your money's worth. Google needs serious developers and just handing them out for free isn't enough.

I definitely want to try this, but the 1500 dollars is kinda iffy to me haha. As a college student I don't think I have enough money for that.

Also moving this thread into the Google Glass forum.

I just hope that it doesn't turn out to be cheesy. If it feels like a little phone screen attached to my face then I'm not getting it. It better have something way more to offer. From the latest video it doesn't look like augmented reality will be an option. What do you all think?

Lol I'll just wait for the user submitted reviews on YouTube. Those are usually very well put together and accurate.
