Thanks - for the useful links.

Thanks in advance
I would like to make you know two new apps:
Coolstreaming v.1.3 and Film Online v.1.4.
The first one gives hundreds of tv channels in various languages,
and has a particular feature: it doesn't need flash player
installed (it requires vitamio codec) and it works easily on devices
having lower hardware resources (and no flash player support).
At this time, some tv channels don't work, but if we consider that,
in a week, the developers have updated three times (from 1.0 to 1.3)...
(for some functionalities we need a paid in-app)
Film Online gives the opportunity to watch hundreds of italian films
from youtube server, via browser or youtube app (if previously installed),
in HQ resolution (360p).
It's very easy and immediate to use, and (if opened via browser) it gives more
titles (among related choices).
You can find them in Android Market...if you should have problems,
download from here:

Great thread. Sorry to bump an old one, but someone had linked to it in a recent thread. Do some of these work on phone version of Android? And I've been wondering for a while-- are these types of apps legal/ safe to use? There's websites that have similar uses and I've never really trusted them.
As a FYI, posting links to APK files that are downloaded and redistributed copies of apps from Google Play is against forum rules and Google's distribution license. If you are having trouble with Google Play, or it is not available in your country, please try GetJar | Mobile |.
Also note that it is your responsibility to verify that websites use credible sources for their streaming media.
Thank you!
