Anyone else here getting Google Fiber?

Signed up for both the gigabit internet and TV service. Should be installed next spring or summer. Then bye bye Time Warner Cable! Anyone else?

If they had it available in NYC, I would be all over it. Unfortunately, they do not have it available here.

Kansas City is a effectively a public beta test for Google gigabit fiber. Kinda weird, since I was a early beta tester for TWC internet service many years ago. I remember how great it was to get rid of dial-up back then. Ahhhh... Well, GF should be a similar leap in performance - killer compared to TWC!

No doubt if it goes well here - and customer response so far has been good - Google has plans to expand quickly. So it may be in your neighborhood in a couple of years. Then we can meet virtually for ribs and beer.
