Default Google maps

I am using google maps on my phone and I want to have the pointer always pointing up or away from me with the phone flat and the map to rotate. Does anybody know how to do this?

google navigation supports active maps but maps are static in google maps. bugs me too

its working now? I hit the icon in the top right twice and it worked
