Can someone point in the right directions to where I can buy one of these batteries for my Inc? I want OEM (of course) and need a solid reputable seller who won't send me a used/refurb'ed battery or one DOA; where should I buy? Not interested in paying HTC retail prices either...looking for something under $15 ;)

Touch Pro2 RHOD160 Battery

HTC Part No. 35H00123-11M
1500 mAh, 3.7V

Thanks!

I got mine from bidallies on ebay. BidAllies Store Cell Phones Electronics items - Get great deals on Samsung Verizon Sprint Nextel Alltel items on eBay Stores!

Shipping was really quick and I'm very happy with my new battery! The orginal battery I had did not let me get through the whole day (would die before or during my train ride home, I never really have it a break in period though, ordered the 1500 OEM 3 days after I got my DInc). The new battery seems to last me much longer. To give you an idea of how I use the phone here's my normal routine: Drive to trainstation using DInc as mp3 player through car stereo (15 minutes), watch part of movie on the train (50-60 mins, airplane mode on), walk to the office using mp3 (15 mins), texting, emails, gchat, checking stocks, playing some SNES throughout the day (9am-5pm, have wifi on most of the day, unless I leave office to go somewhere then I put mobile network back on), then walk back to train with MP3 playing, train ride home either watching video again or listening to music (50-60 with airplane mode on in the train). The battery will last me the rest of the night as long as I don't make really long phone calls or play SNES. I kill my battery once I get home by playing videos so I can give it a full charge. I've given this battery about 7 full charge cycles so far. So far I am very pleased with the battery from this seller, it out performs the stock battery and is well worth the $15.

How's your battery doin?
I got my battery Friday, so I've had it less than a week, but I'm loving it so far.

But the difference I'm seeing isn't due 100% to the battery. Based on what I've seen so far, the "bump charge" technique that's been described on the forums (and I describe below) definitely seems to make a difference.

My experience with the new battery
:

I charged it for 9 hours with the phone off before ever turning the phone on with this battery installed.

I had a hard time killing the battery on Saturday and Sunday before going to bed (and charging the battery again). And I didn't go to bed on Saturday night until about 3AM, to it had a really long day with pretty heavy usage.

I was absolutely loving life.

Sunday night I left the phone on overnight while charging (I use the phone's alarm clock). But when I got up I turned the phone off and plugged it back in while getting ready - probably for over half an hour.

Monday the performance was quite impressive. I don't have any specific numbers to share, but I went the entire workday and well into the evening without charging. I should mention that I actually bought a couple of extra charging cables from monoprice because, back when I was using my stock battery, I was plugging my phone in right after lunch everyday because it was nearly dead. For the record, I get really crappy reception at my desk. (It's almost as if sitting amongst hundreds of computers on the ground floor of a steel-frame building is bad for reception....)

Anyway, here's the critical part that challenges this battery's super-awesomness:

Monday night and Tuesday night (heading into Tuesday's & Wednesday's workdays) I charged the battery the way I had been charging my stock battery. That is charging it overnight with the phone on, then unplugging it in the morning and not plugging it back in until the battery got low - usually about 5-6 hours later. On Tuesday & Wednesday, this battery still outperformed the stock battery, but not by a lot. I probably bought me an extra 1-3 hours - which is about what you'd expect given percentage increase in the battery's power.

Last night (heading into today's workday) my phone died completely from a dead battery. I plugged it in and played with it for a while before going to sleep. Before I knew it, the charge light was green. So I powered down and charged it overnight with the phone off. When I got up this morning, I unplugged it for 10-15 seconds, then plugged it back in. The charging light was red. I waited for the light to turn green again (about 20-30 minutes). Then I power cycled (turning it on and off again) and repeated the process. This time the light was orange when I plugged it back in. I didn't have time for the light to turn green again. But the battery life is much, much better than I was getting with the stock battery.

Right now my battery is sitting at 71% (according to BatteryTime Lite). I haven't plugged it in since leaving the house this morning and I'm looking at an Up Time of 6:44:20 and an Awake Time of 2:20:19.

Sorry, no pictures to post. What would I take them with? My phone is the only camera I have with me and I'm not going to advertise the fact that I'm putting this much thought into my personal phone's battery life on company time.

Soon - maybe this weekend, I'm going to put the stock battery back in and see how it does after a bump charge.

Conclusion:

This battery is better than stock but not twice as good. For $15, I'd buy from BidAllies again in a heartbeat.

Don't know if anybody posted pics of gaps, but this is what mine looks like. It looks much worse in the pics because of the flash, but under normal lighting it is difficult to see the gaps. But they are there.

I was wondering if anybody would know.... if I remove the sticker covering the whole battery, and just leave the battery naked (as in the the metal walls of the battery showing only), would it be okay in the phone? It wouldn't heat up too much or anything would it?

If I take the sticker covering off, it makes the battery a little bit thinner.

So if anyone has been following all my questions in multiple threads on here about batteries (namely the oem 1500 tp 2 vs oem 1500 evo vs the seidio 1750)... So before I get into this...I'm a HEAVY user (leave your weight jokes at the door)... And no I didn't take precise measurements.... But lets say with the original battery I only made it through 7 hours or so.

I've been lucky enough to test all 3 before buying one.

1. The Seidio is giving less time than both the Touch Pro 1500 and the EVO 1500 (only about 7 percent less, but considering it's supposed to be better than 1500...well....)

2. Both the Touch Pro 2 and the EVO battery are the same in mAh. The EVO fits SLIGHTLY... SLIGHTLY better (has those rounded corners)

3. I don't trust buying a battery on Ebay (even if it is oem, if its been stored for a while it wouldn't give as long a life)

So I purchased the Touch Pro 2 battery from Verizon (calling them up from 611. With corporate discount cost 32 with tax) Got it within 2 days.

Yes there is a slight gap at the bottom right. Very slight. In fact there is no more squeaking. I'm willing to bet it was supposed to come with this battery... And they changed it out at the last minute as a cost savings. Which would explain everyone's squeaking.

Also very important to charge it while OFF the first time... Unplug it when green.... Then repeat.

Those initial 7 hours of HEAVY use... I'm up to around 9 of HEAVY (may not sound like a lot... BUT considering I live on this... That gets me through a day of walking around NYC using it as a music player, browsing, email, and of course both showing off the phone and Android to my iPhone loving friends.
