need help flashing rom

ok, i just rooted my hero like an hour ago and i want to try a new rom. i think ive decided to try zenexp, but i dont see a guide and there are a million links/downloads on the xda page. is there a guide or a walk through on this?

sorry if this is a real newb question, and thanks for any help you can give.

Go here [ROM] ZenEXP-0.9.6.2 New Expresso MT3G Slide Landscape Rosie. Overclocked. Updated. - xda-developers

Scroll down to where it says ZenEXP-0.9.6.2OC Toasted: ROM

Then click on the Download link just below that. Move the .zip file to the root level of your SD card. Then boot your phone into recovery mode, by holding home and power ... Make a nandroid backup (also from this screen) of what you have now. Be sure to wipe data and dalvik, then flash the rom. Again, from this same screen, it says flash zip form sd.

Then go to where it says: Update for ZenEXP-0.9.6.2: and download the update. The instructions here say "If you are doing a fresh install then Flash ZenEXP-0.9.6.2 first and then flash this update directly after without rebooting".
