Root Low Voltage Kernal by ejhart

Running this kernal with jagerrom 1.1. Very stable. Too soon to tell on how much battery life improvement there will be. Marginally less heat when using processor intensive apps for long periods. I believe most of the power saving will come when it is at the lower speed steps, so heat probably isn't a good indicator. I will give it a few days, and give my impression of battery improvement.

I wanted to test this for you guys, so i charged phone fully before i went to bed last nite and put this undervolt kernal on.. seems like its making battery last!
I also haven't noticed any deference on performance so thats good!

I will update this throughout the day! :)

Some people (like me) are having issues with the N driver. Range and dropped connections seems to be issues. I haven't confirmed any tethering options. Use the Non-N undervolted kernel if you have issues with the N driver. Also, there is no overclocked kernel with non-N drivers.

yes there are some over at XDA but they are in a big thread u jsut need to look for them. i still have one if someone wants it uploaded

Waiting for patkicks10 to update... I'm very interested in seeing how battery life is affected by undervolting. I'm pretty happy with my battery life, but for those who have issues with it and are willing to take a slight performance hit, this sounds like the answer.

Hey sorry it took me so long to update...
totally forgot.. :p i still haven't charged..

I'm not seeing a difference compared to my phone. What were you doing? If that's gameboid at 2xfastforward for two hours it would be great.

Edit: Someone needs a before and after with a system panel monitor active to record the cpu usage.
Here's me it's actually 49% on the HTC battery widget so...

**Edit**

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this obviously requires root, right?

What's the easiest root method? I see a few methods but not sure which one is "non-dev" friendly.

I'd love to undervolt my CPU and return the extended battery so I can have the phone last greater than a day with moderate use.

Thanks.
