What is annoying is that people should do research and know what they buying. Evo is exactly what I expected and very happy with it. Is it perfect? No. But then no phone is. So no need to complain about what could of been done better. I have not seen any phone without issues yet. See all iPhone 4 complaints for example.
Also negative comments most times are obvious facts so what is the point of posting them.
How are they suppose to research? Would a forum be a good place to start? Or do you trust brain dead bloggers who uses the phones maybe a day or two before typing up the ultimate know it all guides to them?
So if someone comes to say Android forums and research and finds a bunch of constructive debates about build quality, do you think it's actually helpful to see them listed? Albeit if it was a small issue, you'll get maybe a handful of threads... If the forum is TEAMING with them, then guess what, if I was a buyer I'd stay away at least for now...
Negative feedback is just as important as the good ones... If HTC don't get any negative criticism, they would think nothing is wrong and would never work on their build quality... If all you read about was how bad the phones were, then maybe, just maybe they'd give a care enough to fix some issues...
You think they'd admit to the light leak issue as an issue if no one spoke up? Or the battery fix we're suppose to get Monday would even be in the works?
Not only is this forum going to owe these people who send emails to HTC and calls, but the phone itself is going to owe them too... If no one ever spoke up about it, maybe three four times at that, problems would get shrugged off...
What we need to do is tell everyone who feel they have nothing to complain about a new hobby just so they can find a cure for cancer or something and be more constructive instead of discouraging people on how "they" feel about said phone... (or vs said phone...)
