Epson Screen

sagedil: I'm not sure why you'd say that, there's a tangible difference between the two screens. Nothing wrong with someone wanting to be sure they get the better screen. My girlfriend and I both got Evos on June 5 and she has the Novatek while I have Epson. Her screen is definitely better.

dman777: Unfortunately, I don't know what the deal is with HTC regarding the screens. Hopefully they'll start using the Novatek screens again soon.

Is there a way to tell which screen you have? Sure if you have another one to compare it to it might be easy, assuming they are 1 of ea. Is there any way with just one phone to know?

thnx.

Here is my response to another thread about the same topic. It is becoming rather annoying as I believe a lot of misinformation is be disseminated.

"I think that guy's review/video and the host of followup blogs blindly based of of that video are horrid/unproven generalizations and an overall crock of sh#t. I happen to have a version 3 Epson screen and while I have seen some images that look a little bland (I am very hard to please, a real stickler for a nice screen), 98% of all the images are sharp, vibrant, and full of contrast with realistic colors. I was recently using a paint program with the Kids and the colors are blinding. I showed some of them to my wife today, I used a couple as screensavers, and her comment was that the colors were too bright/loud and would hurt her eyes after a while. I remember thinking to myself, well if this screen is dull, then the version twos must be super amoleds.
