I am impressed. Definitely. This device is not even rooted or oc'd yet.

Definitely. The only other phone that I know of right now that tops the Droid X in terms of gaming is the Samsung Galaxy S.

I don't remember where but I know that the Galaxy S has a superior GPU to the Droid X. I may be wrong, but I'm quite sure that it is true. It has the capability of doing 90 million triangles/sec. I'm not sure what the Droid X can do but I'm quite sure it's not that high.

That is rather strange. the benchmarks show that the X outperforms the galaxy s.
Plus i think you mean 30 million not 90

It has been mentioned in many articles that the GPU in the Galaxy S is 3x faster than any phone with Snapdragon processor. I just doubt that the Droid X's GPU is that much faster than the Galaxy S from the benchmarks we've seen with it. If it is faster though, I will be genuinely shocked.

If they were lies though or just completely off, then I am mistaken.

That really puzzled me too. No one exactly knows how Quadrant works but it involves 3 other categories other than just GPU. I wonder how much of a factor that plays into it.

In the NeoCore benchmark, the Galaxy S does close to 60 FPS. The Droid X does something like 45.

Ahh thanks. Hopefully that number is true. From what I'm seeing... it ranges from 42-45 FPS, which is certainly better than the EVO and Incredible, but definitely not close to the Galaxy S.

Where have you seen it doing close to 60? I've seen it around 55.

I was just writing down what I remembered. I just Googled it and the exact result is 55.7 FPS. I guess that's kind of close to 60.

I wonder if the Snapdragon processor will be retired, especially after the Droid X with its performance numbers. The iPhone 4 definitely raised the bar with its performance and Snapdragon doesn't even lay a hand on the iPhone's performance.

idk, to me the omaps have proven the snapdragons to be wasteful and highly inefficient.
