Battery life MUCH better after 2.1 update

Question for u all that are gettin great Bat life because mine sucks arse..

In the Settings>About Phone>battery use, what does ur "Android System" % read & how many processes does it show running???

Mine is ALWAYS @around 95-98% & has about 25 processes running with no way, as far as I can see, to stop them...

Cell standby is usually only 2-3% as well as voice calls...

Never saw this screen before, so thanks.

So, my Android system is at 23%.

If by "Processes Running" you mean the stuff listed under "Included Packages", I have 24 things listed.

Just for giggles I opened up half a dozen random apps (Gowalla, Fandango, Barcode Scanner, Browser, Marketplace, etc) and it's still at 23% and the same 24 things listed I mentioned before.

So what does that mean?

No, not at all. I see no difference in the horrible battery life. Task killers won't give you better battery life either.

What is your Android System % ?

And although maybe not much, I don't see how you could think that less tasks running in the background wouldn't give you better battery life.

Or am I mistaken on how this works?

Task killers will DEFINITELY get you better battery life. I've picked up the phone before and felt a hot battery and hit the ATK button and felt it cool off in my hand. Anyone that thinks that isn't going to help battery life doesn't really understand what's going on in the phone...

My battery life is up and down. I still don't think it's better than I had in cl14 but I'm also doing more with the phone now. Most of the time it lasts me through the day but every once in a while it's dead by noon.

Is the Battery Use only found after the 2.1 update? I don't see it using the above path you mentioned.
