Root dual boot iOS 4?

You want a Hyper-Visor on top of Android, is that correct?

I think I thought I heard a litle company called Trust Digital (now McAfee) might have something like this up their sleeve. I don't believe it is 100% accurate, but I heard it from a reliable source (someone who's going to buy it).

Also, I noticed Apple iPhone xCode includes the iPhone Simulator. Mac OS is Linux and so is Android. In theory, one could port xCode dev and this simulator to Android. In theory... (and with the help of a few thousand cans of Red Bull). :D

ps. I SO want a handheld Hyper-visor too, whether it's HTC EVO hardware or running Android or not. I don't feel complete until I have this myself. :D

if they can dual boot android on ios devices why not the other way around? if one is compatible with the other it should be the same vice a versa! i think what it really is, is that people with iphones are jealous of android and put in time to get it done. and people with android think their s/w is better and have not even bothered to try.

The iphone is now on verizon, so theres the cdma for you..
Who knows, maybe someday someone will create a rom.
I had a 3gs for over a year, and im much happier with the android.
I can see what youre saying with the apps, but most apps have something comparable for the android.

I can also see an iOS rom being kinda buggy and having problems compared to the actualy iOS on an iPhone. iPhones are way too smooth and (for me and everyone ive known) very problem free, so i think youd find it to be a disappointment.

Pick up a new iPod touch, for 199. Its got the retina display etc. I got one for a friend and she loves it a lot

Mainly because Android is open source and ios isn't.

It's not a matter of compatibility. Tell me... Where can you get the source code to iOS?

Is this possible?

Now that we have a CDMA iPhone, do we have the proper drivers to write the ROM?

Personally, I would like the iOS operating system ported over to my Evo for lots of reasons.
-I want some of the iOS apps
-I don't want to buy an iPhone/iPod Touch
-I'm on Sprint with no iPhone option and I don't want that ZTE Peel thing
-I like to show off to my iPhone friends who think they're the shit
-I love to try new things

iPhone owners can port Android over to their phone, how about us for a change? I understand that there are licenses and drivers and all this but is there anyone out there even trying to do it? Can we let go of our hatred for Apple for a few moments to make something awesome to show up Apple?

No. The main problem here is that iOS is completely closed. If you want to write a kernel that iOS can use to interface with your Android phone, you need to know how iOS is written.

Last I checked, Apple didn't offer iOS code as open source. So... you're more likely able to put Android on an iDevice (it's been done already) than the other way around.

Okay, well that makes more sense. I just thought it was people who refused to do it.
