Merging contacts.

The easiest way I have found to do this is to select People>> Menu>> Import/Export>> Export to SD Card>>Phone. Once that is done just delete all of your contacts. Next, select People>> Menu>> Import/Export>> Import from SD Card>> Google. This will allow all of your contacts to be in your gmail account.

Ok, I tried that. When I import SD card, Google, then if asks for a selection. Either one vCard, Multiple vCards or all vCards. I tried all three and I only get a few of my contacts back.

That worked for me very nicely. Thanks. Only issue was that Gmail keeps contacts for every single person I've ever e-mailed so I had over 400 contacts I had to weed through and delete. Other than that, it worked beautifully. Contacts are now backed up in the cloud. Very happy about that.
