Okay so 2.2 comes out and adds Flash and Corporate Calendar. However can someone explain to me how a company like Google lacks the most basic email functionality. I realize that when I moved from a Blackberry to Android that I would be loosing some things but I mean this is ridiculous.

1. So how do you add a contact from email right into your address book?
2. If there is a phone number in the subject you can not click on to call.
3. There is zero search and sorting capability
4. When I go into my sent items I would like to see who i sent the message to not FROM. It's my phone Google I know I sent the message, can you please give me the ability to see who I sent to without having to go into the message.

For now I guess I still need to use Touchdown. I give Google a big "F" when it comes to email functionality.

1. I don't understand your question clearly.
2. In the subject? Is that common?
3. Not sorting, but there's searching.
4. That's gmail's problem, cos it works on a threaded way, so if you have been the last one sending something in that particular 'conversation' it will say 'me'.

1. click on the picture next to the contact in the message. For me, this pops up a window asking if I want to add the contact to gmail. This only works if I recieved the email from the contact I am wanting to add (IE: doesn't work if the email address is in the body of the message.)

2. never had to do this...but, as a work around, you can copy the subject line (reply | long press subject and copy) and then paste it into the dialer.

3. Gmail search is great...not sure what you are wanting.

4. yep...that one is wierd...

>>Did that works great-Thank you

>>For some reason the option to copy does not come up.

>>Agree but I am using corporate email

>>yeah I agree.

It still has a long way to go to achieve what blackberry has achieve a true "outlook on your hip device"

Did you click reply first? then, after copy, just click discard.

Also, is this the regular Gmail app, or the 'email' app...???
