Whos trading their DX for the iphone

I know it's an unconfirmed rumor, and I'm not saying it is coming in January, but I do believe eventually Verizon will have the iPhone. I can't say when (don't know, just like everyone else), but sometime in the next few years. When this happens, unless the Droid X and Android OS blow me away, I will be getting an iPhone on Verizon.

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't buy a Verizon iphone if and when it shows up. Only way I can't see myself getting it is if Google just starts blowing the mobile world out of it's socks (which it's on pace to do) but the phone manufacturers would have to step it up. Love the Droid X but it should've had some better features and options.

blech.... I hate Apple and I hate iPhones. I'm ashamed to have an iPod touch, and I'm selling it as soon as I get my DX. I'll admit though, there was a time when I once drooled over the iPhone and wished it would come to Verizon. 2 years ago when the rumors started, I waited and waited, and postponed getting a phone just based on those very rumors. It never happened, and I'm glad. Even if I could have a Verizon iPhone in my hands right now, I would still wait for the Droid X.

Cool. Why specifically? Just curious.

In the past, before I owned any smartphones, I might have gotten an iPhone if it was on Verizon... but now that I've had first-hand experience with various ones.... not a chance. I know Apple isn't hurting in the fanbase or money dept with the iPhone, but it does make me wonder how much bigger it potentially could have been if they were released on all major providers. I've since become totally happy with Android to the point whenever I experiment with my friend's iPhone, I feel somehow limited. Also, I've realized that the iPhone is just too small of a phone for me. I'm even moving from the DI to the DX due to me wanting a bigger screen for web browsing. In the past, I would have just accepted the iPhone's size.

after almost 2 years with a 3gs, all I can tell you is that the iPhone os is BORING!.. and its so locked down for ******s and that rediculous, sure you can jailbreak, but then your stuck on "reloading data" in cydia all the time and then it crashes, just to get some stupid theme or application that Steve jobs did not like..

having an iphone for 2 years and then playing with the Android emulator its like a breath of fresh air!, the alerting system in android is awesome, push messages and alerts on the iphone is sooo annoying, your right in the middle of doing somthing and DONG! big fat pop ups in your face..

Stupid rules for apps, and everything is locked down, its very limited and get old fast.

No widgets unless you jail break, and those are buggy as shit too.

And Yes, im a current iphone owner, waiting another week before I put my phone on ebay for the Droid x.

Read this today. I can only imagine how many new ATT customers would be pissed if it came to big red. haha

I hope it's true.

Especially since AT&T did everything in their power to get people to re-up the 2 year contract. They gave anybody with a contract expiring in 2010 the chance to upgrade now. If you bought an iPhone 3GS a few months before the iPhone 4 was released, they would let you return it and get the iPhone 4 at a discounted price with a 2 year contract. When I saw these 2 things, I had a feeling AT&T was up to something. AT&T doesn't just give things away. There was a reason for it. I had a feeling we would be seeing an iPhone on VZW in short time.

Personally, after 3 years with an iPhone and AT&T, I've grown sick of it. Competition has caught up rapidly, and I'm very happy with Android. Sure I'm still learning the ins and outs of the OS, but that's half the fun. If an iPhone hit VZW I wouldn't even bat an eye at it. Nothing new on that front.
