Thanks to HTC's horrible decision in placement of the stand(aka right where the phone rests), my kickstand has developed some scratches. I know their is a solution I can probably use to get rid of the scratches but not sure exactly what it is.

Any anyone knows or has any ideas how to get the scratches off, please post.

Find you some Semichrome Polish. It's a polishing paste and just a little rubbed into the kickstand will take out the scratches. You can usually find it at hardware stores and gun shows. TC ;)

Well since the kickstand has a brushed texture to it, any type of polishing you do to it will remove that texture as well and it will be smooth, more like the side of the kickstand that faces the phone when closed.
Then you have to live with the scratches. Your only other option is to have a gunsmith fine bead blast it. TC :D

Scotchbrite is probably your best bet.

This is the only way to do it properly. Get yourself a scotch green finishing sanding pad they are about 1/4 inch thick and green in color. Cut a strip about 1/2 inch wide by about 2 inches long. Then take the back off the phone and with a little pressure go from left to right as straight as you can in the direction of the factory brushing in full single strokes over the kickstand. It may take several passes to make it look new again. Jewelers use this method to re finish the brushing on SS watch bands.

Agreed. Just remember, don't go back and forth - just brush in one direction, and use light pressure and be as straight as you can.
