Hi,

I have a 720p video that I am trying to play on GS. The image is amazing by the way :)
But I can't hear any audio (works fine on my PC).

Anything wrong with the audio codec used?

I have a video streamer sat in my living room that will play all Mkv files, the only thing being is that if they have DTS sound on them they wont play the audio, Anyway i found a work round , re encode the mkv (not touching the video) but re encoding the sound only, to AAC (i think) or AC3 (not totally sure which) using this tool .......

I already said "thanks" through the forum, but I want to say a double thank!
I just tried it and it works like a charm!
My video file size decreased (which was expected) from 4.6 GB to 3.9 GB so not only I can now copy it as one single file on my SD card, but the audio works like a charm now, and the quality of the image is still exactly the same!
This is a hell of a good link you gave, and one right click is enough to convert the audio in the mkv file.
Thank you again Galaxyforme :)

The audio is encoded in AC3.

I just wanted to report success on my end too. I have struggled with trying to find the right solution to play anime on my Galaxy Tab. I found this thread and followed the link to the Vid2Eva software solution and it worked really well.

I transcoded the audio stream pretty quickly through my Dell XPS M1530 Laptop and used RockPlayer for playback. There is another player called Vplayer that played it well to although the subtitles had the html tags wrapped around certain phrasings that were supposed to be italicized.

Anyway, I'm happy now.
