Ok so I have learned a couple things the last few days I would like to share with all the other newbs if possible.
First, I realized that in my quest to add movies that downloading a File Management App is completely unnecessary. It only seemed to create a lot of useless files for me and further confuse my newbliness. So it was uninstalled.
Second, this is MUCH easier than I was thinking so here it is......
Lazy Man's Movie Installation Guide for Droid (How-To)
1. Create a new folder on your computer desktop called "Movies" or whatever you want to call it.
2.Download movies that you would like to see in mp4 format and save them to the folder you just created. Here is the lazy part.....There happens to be 1 particular thread on Crackberry.com that has links to hundreds of new and late release movies already in mp4 format! I will give the link to that thread here.......My first movies post... - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com
3. Connect your USB cable that came with your phone from the phone to your computer and you will get a notice on your phone. Pull down the notification bar on your phone and press the USB notice.
4. Select MOUNT your device. Wait a few seconds. This will pull up a window on your desktop that shows what is currently on your SD card. (I think it is just a Picture folder and Media folder, cant remember. If the window doesnt pull up, just pull it up manually with START>MY COMPUTER>AND WHATEVER DRIVE YOUR SD CARD SHOWS UP AS.
5. Open your new "Movies" folder and just drag your new media over to the already existing Video folder on your SD, OR you can create another new "Movie" folder on your desktop and drag that over first and then transfer your movies over to it. The options are limitless. :D
6. When your done, pull down the Notification Bar on your phone and press Disconnect USB. It will then say it is preparing your SD. Disconnet the actuall USB cable and.....
7. Click on Gallery on your phones Application menu and go into your new "Movie" folder and ENJOY!
*DISCLAIMER*-Its up to you what you do with the link provided above! All I can say is EVERY movie I have pulled from it thus far has been nothing short of SPECTACULAR on my Droid. They are all already in the right format and good to go! Hope this helps!:D

Feel free to explain the handbrake stuff to me and I will add it on! LOL, I havent had the need to figure it out yet since I figured this out. Every movie I had wanted, I have found in that thread. I joined crackberry.com just so I could search that particular thread! There are WAY more movies in that thread than just what you see on the first couple pages! And all so far, formatted nicely in mp4 form.:D

Glad I helped somebody zebroid1. Lord knows I needed it!

I also think this thread would be more help to newbs than the one that is currently sticky'd on the Droid page. Movies on your Droid or whatever its called. That one had me all kinds of confused, but maybe its just me. As soon as I figure out, or need the handbrake stuff, I will dumb it down to where I understand it and add it to the top of the thread.

Great find, Thanks!
I grabbed a couple of movies from your source and they look pretty good on my Ipod touch (I don't have a droid yet...:(... but I will soon) They're a little fuzzy looking on my computer so I wonder what the resolution is. Since the droid has such a hi-res screen, I'll be looking for better settings to use when converting myself using Handbrake. Once I get my phone, I'll experiment to get the best resolution- unless someone else perfects it first and posts here...:D

The resolution on my Droid as is, is awesome. I'm sure you could maybe tighten it up just a bit, but I honestly dont know how much better it could get. It looks like its in HD on my Droid. And Your Welcome.:D

I know that link has a disclaimer and I don't want to be a party pooper but that is piracy.

And downloading from file sharing services can have dangers.

As far as the downloading of the movie goes I'm not sure on the law, but as long as you are not SHARING the file with anyone else, I think only the guy originally posting the rip would go down. So, for me, I'm just getting while the gettin is good. That thread has been around a while so I'm guessing its not going away soon.
Also, If anyone was pulling viruses with these files they would be letting the mods know and that file would be pulled off the thread. An easy fix if your paranoid would just be to scan the file. No worries! I will let you know when I come across one with a virus! LOL:D

Looks like the quality of films can vary considerably from megaupload- I DL'd The Simpsons Movie and it was a "camcorder job" filmed in a movie theater.

yeah, I have noticed a couple of those. that was one of the things i like about the second link I put up there ^ a couple posts back. He actually went as far as letting you know if it was a camera job, by putting (CAM) at the end of the link. Still, on the whole, I've downloaded about 15 movies and only come across maybe 2 camera jobs I think. All in all, nothing i will complain about. Hope ya'll are having the same luck!!!:D

awesome find and thanks. I downloaded The Dark Knight and played it on the Droid last night. Quality is decent not great. One question - could I convert it somehow to fill the entire screen on the Droid?

I'm pretty sure you can do it with handbrake. I'm no expert on that yet though, as I have been very lucky with my favorite films on that thread. One quick thing though, if you search that thread there are sometimes more than one link for the same movie. Might help you if the first one you find was a camera job. Like I said above though, there are a lot less of those than there are exceptionally good ones!

I just remembered, there is also an app called ACT 1, I think, that will allow you to stretch movies in mp4 format to fill the "entire" screen. Dont quote me on it, but I read it somewhere earlier. If you try it let us know. I may try it myself soon.
