Can anyone validate that all 4 Galaxy S phones for the 4 major U.S. carriers all have the same features. I thought after last nights media event by Samsung I would find a posting somewhere with the four phones compared.

From what I see the Captivate, Epic, Vibrant and Fascinate are all the same as far as features. Is that a fact?

This link has them all together on the same page with the same description for all of them.

Also they all have the same processor, the Hummingbird, which is a nice one, especially the gpu.

The current Snapdragon just became obsolete with the OMAP 3630 and the Hummingbird. I'm a Motorola guy til I die, but I like the Hummingbird.

HTC & Qualcomm needs to step it up in the upcoming months.

you don't have any problems with your motorola phones by any chance??? i used several moto phones before but they all had the same problem.... freezing up, screen goes blank, and turns off by itself... did u have any of these problems?? i had RAZR, KRZR, Cliq and Cliq XT... they all had same problems especially CLIQ XT...

PS: not trying to bash Motorola just sharing my own personal experience with Motorola

I see u never mentioned the E815 or the Star Tac.

I skipped the Razr craze cuz I thought they were too thin. Those other phones u mentioned? Never used them. I went to some Samsung phones around that time, which I regret now that I have a Droid. I shoulda stuck with me E815.....

Droid hasnt given me any problems yet. Still going strong. My E815 is too as a back up phone.

Likewise, my personal experience with Samsung has turned me away from any Samsung phones. I wont hold it against these new Samsung phones coming out tho. They seem nice so far.

I think Motorola just dropped the ball on some phones. The Devour and Backflip is kinda iffy too. But seeing as how AT&T has a lackluster Android phone that they also crippled until these Samsungs, it could have been a T Mobile thing like u said.
....lol

But this is a good time to be in the market for a smart phone. We need to hit the lottery....lol

Are there any significant differences in carrier restrictions on these phones? I'm trying to find out if the carriers restrict what you can do on the phones and how each carrier (att and verizon) restricts them in a way that would matter.

Also, can these restrictions be bypassed by modding?

Thanks for the help
