Anyone else noticing huge battery improvement with upgrade?

Before the update I would bring my phone to work at 100% and with moderate usage, maybe some Pandora/web browsing and it would be nearly dead by the time I brought it home 8-9 hours later. Or even at night lets say it was at 100% when I went to bed, I'd wake up without it plugged in 6-8 hours later and it would be down around 50% battery.

Now the difference is almost night and day. In those same time periods I'm coming home from work now with 60-70% battery when I had 10-20% before. And in stand-by the phone hardly uses any battery, at most 1-2% per hour. I am now extremely satisfied with the battery use, it's much improved from the Palm Pre I came from.

Also, before the update my phone was power cycling/resetting about every 10-20 mins. I would also experience times of extreme lag when trying to either open multiple apps at once or go through the menus very fast. I even had an an appointment setup at Sprint to have them look at the phone. However, once I applied the update the phone is much faster and I haven't experienced so much as a hiccup.

Anyone else experiencing these positive changes?

I did, my standby time has dramatically improved, the drain from the screen being on the processing power is still the same, but when my phone screen is off and I am not actively using the phone it holds its ground a lot better. That including when moving around and switching towers as moving through different parts of coverage.

Exactly, before I would get mad because I'd lose half the battery not even using the phone. Now I turn it on a few hours since using it and the battery has hardly moved (as it should be). Under heavy use with screen on, I'm ok with battery drain.. it's the stand-by drain that was really irritating me. Glad to have this fixed.

Notice a better improvement...but also the time inbetween 50% and less is A LOT longer.

Im off hte charger by 8 am, and the past two days have gone all day til atleast atfer 12 am and still have 20%.

I am moderate use from 8 to 5(At work) but heavy use when I am home. Usually am near a charger at home, but dont put it on to see how long the EVO will last. Biggest thing is, after heavy usage, games, emails, texts, web....it goes strong for hours at home, albiet on Wifi most of the time.

So I dont see these extreme issues of drainage that others have.

Maybe an increase but it could be placebo. I wasn't having battery issues before.

Funny you mention the word 'ground'. I notice I can now use my phone without touching it with my other hand. Can a grounding issue be fixed with a software update? Seems weird to me.

Probably changed in sensitivity. With how fragile things being built are even a slight change in sensitivity to conductivity can probably make it go/no go.
