Hello Everyone,

Just made the jump from the Pre to the Moment and so far so good - a couple of things to get used to but I am sure I will..

I have only tested this indoors so excuse me but does anyone know if GeoTagging works well with the moment out of the box?

This is big thing for me - why I am not really sure - but it is.

Thanks for all the awesome info and discussions

Peace

Try it outside. Geotagging requires GPS. Currently the Moment does not have aGPS because it is running on 1.5. aGPS is not supported in 1.5.

Your best option is to use it outside, because it's hard to get a GPS lock without aGPS inside.

aGPS stands for assisted GPS and uses cell towers to help the phone get a GPS lock.

I think you may be right, but my testing now is showing that it does not use cached gps settings either.

I may have been taking agps for granted.

Sometimes it wont geotag the picture at all, other times it geotags with 0,0 as the lat/long so i m not exactly sure what was going on - if only I had the driver for the phone - is this a qualcomm gps in here? maybe someone can try to enable something with QPST
