I did a search. There were pretty much only old posts , alll before the update, and none regarding this cable that I could see. It just went out of stock recently, I'm sure it will be back.

I got the Amzer 15 foot one and a no-name 5 footer from eBay and both work fine. I say that annoyed that the only video player recognizing HDMI out is the stock video program; the Divx program and a few others I've tried don't send the video to my LCD, while the stock program does just fine.

In case you are clueless, the evo requires HDMI A (male) to HDMI D (male). HDMI D is also known as "micro" (not mini) though many retailers will mix up the terms. So just make sure it has HDMI D.


Firefold DOES have the correct cable and I just got mine in the mail. It's a good cable, perfect length and has the gold plated connectors.

After testing it does work. Though I've yet to get a decent quality picture lol. Not the cables fault though...but the "ripped" movies I had on my EVO were not HD and it definitely shows on your tv. The couple videos I recorded with my phone were in a dark room so those also looked pretty crappy. Youtube videos looked decent as long as you have wifi (or I guess 4G) and choose the HD versions. Some of those were even bad though.


Hoping I just need better source material though or the novelty will wear off quick.

But the cable is great (as I've always had from them) and it came super quick. It's about the same price as the cables you can find on ebay/amazon from less known sellers and way cheaper than buying from sprint.

Happy with mine.

Monoprice does not have the type d hdmi cable. I wish they did as I just ordered some USB micro cables and a displayport cable from them.
