My incredible that was shipped is being returned to sender?!

Wow. Verizon really messed up on this one. The phone i've waited for the past 3 and a half weeks. The reason i've spent countless hours reading the "date your order has shipped" thread (with on average 400 posts per day) Is now being sent back?! I made a point to sleep in the living room so i could hear the door when the fedex man comes today. That's how freaking excited i was to get my phone. Tracking my phone...i saw this

So i call fedex and they say my package is already being sent back because my package didn't even have a correct address on it. Just my full name, city and zip code? I asked if i could just go and pick it up, but they said it's already being processed for shipment back to verizon. FML. FML FML FML!

UPDATE: Got off the phone with verizon. They say they can't do anything but put my name BACK on the list for a backorder with a NEW ship date of 7/29! Screw the phone. Really. Love the incredible. Wanted it really bad. Am not waiting ANOTHER month to get it. Sorry. Thanks to all those in the "date ordered and received" thread for keeping me entertained. I go cry now
 
You mean to tell me that they will not receive the phone, print out a new sticker, and reship it to you? So, when they get the phone back they are going to ship it to somebody else?!

I'd bust some balls if I were you. Threaten them that you are switching providers. If that doesn't work, piss on a local store.

I'm confused. Do you want the phone or not. The first post you said you did want it and you're pissed that it was returned to sender. This post #8 you say it should have never shipped and you spent the money elsewhere (understandable), but now don't have the money for it since you canceled the order. If you canceled it....you can't be mad that Verizon recalled the shipment.

Darn! For future reference, you can write a note on the door with your signature. They accept that.

It's actually up to the driver to decide if they will leave it or not for an 'indirect signature.' I have had some accept it, others completely ignore it. I finally just started having things shipped to my office when I remember to do so.

Yea, I am really confused by the update as well. In the first post you are very upset that the phone was sent back. You said that you have spent hours reading the shipping thread and that you were so excited that you slept in your living room.

Then your update says that you didn't even want the phone and had canceled it??

I do understand your annoyance with the bill thing and I would suggest calling Verizon and speaking to a manager to get that resolved. I know for a fact that they can make changes to the account as I have had to have it done twice.

Sorry for the confusion. As i've said in other threads, i've ordered a dinc for my girlfriend as well. Got my order and my girl's mixed up. One of them i had to cancel and the other kept. One charged to credit card one to bill. My brain is like fried eggs today from talking to so many reps. Really i've talked to at least 10 reps today

I would certainly call and speak with some escalation dept. and have them reship the phone when they receive it. There is no reason they wouldn't be able to. OR they could just simply call FedEx directly and give them the proper address since they are the shipper and have it redirected.

Tried calling verizon after reading this. They keep telling ME to call fedex and everytime i do, they tell me to call verizon to have it reshipped because they say my package is "in a process". Seems like they're not even working to sort out my order. Just to get me off the phone. Gahhhhhh.

To one of the above posters suggesting to verizon they just print a new shipping sticker and send it when it gets to warehouse, i tried that too. The lady nicely told me, and i'm paraphrasing here, "we have big warehouses and we may be able to do it, but it would take time." To where i said "Okay. Then do it". She spoke to a supervisor and came back and said no. Am i just getting the wrong reps here or what? Why do these forums have more common sense then these people i'm talking to? My day sucks so bad. I go to Taco bell and eat the pain away

And there goes my sexy long awaited phone. Here and then away from me. Heartbreaking. You never want to check your tracking and see this. I guess this is what fedex meant when they said "in process". Can someone tell me how bad the incredible is so i'll feel better about not getting it? Tell me it leaks battery fluid or doesn't load megan fox pictures or something. Please

Don't worry, considering how amazing the phone is, not getting it will actually be a good thing. The Incredible really interferes with one's productivity.

If it was me, I'd get on the phone with Verizon, and keep escalating till they give me an answer I like. Either put me on top of the list, return ship the phone with the right address, or (possibly cancel order and give me discount on an DX). I would be willing to walk over this, and I'd let them know it.

This situation isn't right, and hopefully they get it resolved quickly.

Get FedEx and Verizon on a conference call! Then have them figure out a solution.

DO NOT let them hang up until your phone is on the way to you. Get managers on the line . If you need cant conference call, call both at same time and tell each one what the other is saying.

People tend not to tell you what they can do when the person they are trying to push you off to can hear them
