So I downloaded rom manager just to see what it was like. I installed Clockwork mod recovery... so now when i do the old fashioned end and up volume it brings me to something completely different then b4. I want to get rid of this and go back to what i had before? how do i do this? The second option from the bottom flash alternate recovery which i think would fix it is greyed out... any thoughts?

What screen appears when you hold volume up and press power?

Btw, this is the generic Eris section.. "all things root" would give you better results... hi xx_bishop_xx .. ;)

All Things Root (Eris) - Android Forums

Thanks. it says clockwork mod recovery and the green is darker and its set up different.. so pretty much i dont feel comfortable with how it looks and want the old recovery image back... would removing all the things from my android sdk and redoing that step work?

One thing about rooting that is nice is being able to just start over, and there is more than one way to do that.

Uninstalling via Root Manager (system > apps > mount rw (button) > long press apps not wanted and select delete).

I'd just flash a ROM I liked, tweak it for a while, do a nand backup and then go into sdk and scram everything I didn't want.
