Update: As of today, we have received enough dumps to conti.ue on with testing. We will proceed on the phase and push out those bad boys to ya!



update has errors and it is the last update you will ever get for this phone. we have people that can help you extract the update from the phone without messing up your phone.

We are trying to tweak the update and freely distrubte it to the rest of the members who did not get the update.

Please, take time out of your day to contact NU11U5, who will help you get what he needs. Also the GREAT BH MAN has offered to help.

For the new people, bh man is a great programmer who brought us 1.6 when samsung had ababandoned us. Samsung has now left us to rot now and drool over the galaxy s.

I think I speak for the behold II community when I say that you will be honored for your time.

We need two volunteers to get this ball rolling.

In order to get ADB, go to Android SDK | Android Developers. and dpwnload the sdk for your system.

For these instructions, store the sdk on your C:/ drive when you extract it from your folder. Also rename it to AndroidSDK. (For some reason I had to rename the first folder AndroidSDK and then when I opened it in explorer, I had another folder that was in there that I had to open to get to the tools folder)

So if you experience my (problem) then the directory is C:/AndroidSDK/AndroidSDK/tools/adb
Else it will normally be C:/AndroidSDK/tools/adb

These are specific instruction for getting adb on windows. Any questions? Just ask us!

After you have got adb down, get odin at How-to Flash using ODIN - Android Forums.

There should be a link there on the first post that says Odin and 1.5 drivers. Download, unzip and find the odin app. Its a standalone app so you just need to click and drag that one app to move it to desktop, or where you want. To run just double click it, but not now!

Make sure you have your drivers installed.

Someone else needs to help with this part for its not fresh in my mind. I know I always resort to trial and error between pc mode and storage mode. I perfer with downloading the drivers and then connect my phone and then using the device manager to install the drivers.

I'd have it to you in a heartbeat, if I only had it to give. Doubt it's ever going to happen for me, though. My phone is still on UVIJ6, even though it was purchased new only 2 months ago. Been thinking about using the ODIN UVIJ6-UVJA3, to see if I can get it afterword, just haven't had a chance to take that leap yet. If/when I do, and if I did receive the 1.6, would you still want a dump of it? Or are you looking for "pure" OTA all the way?

GOOD NEWS!

The 1.6 dump files I received from ikhtiar has been flashed on my phone successfully! I'm just going to test it for the next few hours and compare the files to a dump provided by slmar123 for good measure.

If I don't find any problems I will post the Odin images sometime tomorrow.
