Good Games

Here's the two best I found...

Labyrinth lite, which is also on the iphone... and hopefully they'll port the full version that the iphone has as well. It mimics the old wooden box games where you try to navigate a metal ball through a maze and avoid dropping through the holes. This is really fun and shows off how precise the accelerometer is on the droid. Also you can make your own maps on a webpage and download them to the phone.

Robo Defense, is the best cell phone game I've ever played. If you have ever played RTS (real time strategy) games like Command and Conquer or Red Alert, you'll love it. It's extremely addicting.

Have fun.

Labyrinth was available as a paid app, but it disappeared about 3 months ago. I am unsure why it went away, but it was on the market for some time. Fantastic game.

Games that I like:

  1. Gem Miner (Exploration/Platformer)
  2. Mystique (Horror FPS. Free chapter 1, paid chapter 2)
  3. Emulators (all the available ones by yongzh are great)
  4. Jewels (free Bejeweled clone)
  5. Age of Conquest (Risk-type game. Very good)

Mole Miner for me, an outstanding game that has kept me playing for many hours. This game is aimed at those who relish a challenge and enjoy retro style boulder games. It is like Diamond Rush for the intelligent - with a hilarious Nicholas Parsons thrown in for good measure! It is not, however, for the terminally impatient - if it wasn't for the help of the developers I would never have cleared some of the levels. The replayability factor is high as numerous people around the world vie for high scores on the various levels.

At the moment the game is free, along with an extra level pack, but I understand that will change. Those who have the game now get to keep it of course. Some have baulked at the 12mb size, but this is fully justified once hooked in and you discover the true depth of what (in my opinion) is pure class. It will have you despairing and punching the air in delight with equal measure. Also, I have never had cause to laugh during a mobile game - this one has well and truly broken the mould.

I also understand that future level packs will be made available and there will be an option for payment to be charged to phone bills. The only other game that I have tried and loved is Robo Defense, though I have only played the free version on account of not yet being willing to put credit card details online. If that game could be charged to a phone bill I would get it right now.

Cheers for the big-up David - we'll pay you in free extra levelpacks in due course ;)
