Accessories Anyone recommend Clingo Car Mount

Has anyone used the Clingo Car Mount for their Incredible yet? Does it stay sticky? Any issues with it falling off going over like a speedbump or something? Trying to find an inexpensive car mount but solid quality.

The suction to my windshield seems very good, it could attach to vent, and it rotates so i can use phone in landscape or portrait. It also has enough room for all buttons and needed cable ports.

It bounces quite a bit and the button to open it is kinda weird.

HOWEVER, it works well for what i want it for and allows me to avoid my grounding issue when i am driving.

The box said that it uses a non-adhesive material that leaves no residue. Supposedly, I just have to put the phone on to it and it sticks....something to do with static.
You can't use a rubber or silicone case with it...must be the phone only. But it is the only mount that I have discovered that does not have an obstruction for me to connect to my car charger.
Hoping someone has used to before to inform me if it a good product. I hate being the first to try something. lol

Can you charge the phone while in the bracket mount? Looks like it covers the USB/charging opening.

They also make a sort of necklace/lanyard that uses the pad to hold an ipod nano, so I'm assuming it's fairly secure. Only thing is it needs to be cleaned every now and then.

I almost went ahead and bought the Clingo, but I'm worried about the camera lens and if it will affect the photos after it has been stuck to it. So I went ahead and chickened out and got the 5 dollar mount with my 2 dollar off ebay certificate that I never seem to use.

Unfortunately I can't find a single review anywhere on the Clingo Mount.

Agree...difficult to find any reviews. I pride myself on being a good researcher, but I couldn't find one comment on the Clingo car mount. I just always hate being the first one to buy...prefer recommendations. But thanks for your input

Hi all, I am a proud owner of a Clingo mount. Its amazing stuff doesnt make your phone sticky at all and I have had to clean it once since I got it, quick wash under water and it was a sticky as anything. No problem with bumps on the road my N97 Nokia stays stuck.

I am looking at the vent one. Does anyone think that using the heater in the winter would overheat the phone if attached to the vent, even with the vent shutters closed?

Yes, I have to charge it while in the mount as my phone has the grounding issue.

The phone will bounce quite a bit while driving, but the suction and phone are secure. You can rotate while phone is in and plugged in as well.

I like this one for what I need. I might try to figure out how to limit the bouncing, but it does serve my purpose.

I shook it a decent bit to simulate driving over bumps and it held strong. To remove the phone it peels off somewhat easily and leaves ZERO residue. They claim that it sticks to any phone and I believe it.

I bought the arm mount so I can not speak to the air vent clip. However, I would guess that the heat from the vents would not be enough to harm your phone.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions. I can confidently say this is a great mount and solution to mounting the Incredible with or without a case (or any other phone for that matter).

OK. I read on their site that Clingo won't work on textured cases. I thought silicone was smooth, not textured.

Gotta love amazon. I'll let you guys know of my experience with it. If anything, I am a little worried about it being able to hold up with the weight of both the audio and charging wire coming out of the phone.

I started using the Clingo vent mount last week and I must say that it works as described. My Incredible has the verizon silicone case and it has no problem sticking to the Clingo. The phone does not bounce around while driving or going over speed bumps or pot holes.
My only problem is that of the 4 vents in my car the Clingo will only work on 2 of them. It needs to be attached to standard type vents. Once mounted to the vent, don't plan on trying to adjust the vent in any way.
It pretty much locks the vent in the position that it's in. (at least in my car)
It does block the air from blowing out of the vent that I am using.
My one concern however is that after using the air conditioner and removing the phone from the Clingo, the phone was quite cold and there was moisture on the exposed part of the phone near the camera lense. Needless to say when using the heater, it would really make the phone quite warm.
Overall, it does what it's supposed to do.
