New member here. I came from a blackberry storm where the only way to truly restart the device was to pull the battery. I have had my moto droid for about a month now and love it. My question is this: Does powering down the device truly restart it, or do you have to do a battery pull like with blackberry? Thanks.

Yep, powering down the does indeed restart (or reboot) the phone.

And to comment on the second post, Fast Reboot is indeed an app in the market. But it only reboots certain programs running on your phone. It doesn't actually reboot the entire phone. There is an app called Quickboot, but you need to be rooted to use it.
