I was out today in my shitty city looking for a cable to connect to my tv. I went to every store (3) that sells cables, i only found 1.
Belkin AV Cable for ipod, i know, its ipod, but why wouldnt it work? its all 3.5 mm right.

All i get is a scrambled picture. I've tried both pal and ntsc. Is this because its an ipod cable? or could it be that my tv doesnt support the phone resolution? Its a samsung tv btw, no dlna though.

I could try and buy this cheaper cable

I've run into this problem before with other devices, different manufacturers put video on different strips on the 3.5mm jack, so if you don't have to official samsumg cable, it may not appear to work. Keep switching around the rca ends until you find the right combination.

eg. since this doesn't work:
y-y
r-r
w-w

try:
y-r
r-y
w-w

or:

y-w
r-r
w-y

you get he idea.... you'll eventually find a combination that works.

Hi - I get a scrambled pic with an annoying interference sound. I can kinda see some of the icons and hear music if I play it. Swapped all the leads around to see if the colour coding was wrong and no luck. Have 2 cables that work fine for my camcorders so did you get this to work? Tried Pal and NTSC and I've a 3 year old flat screen Samsung tv so thought it should work?
