Realtime Traffic & Speed Cams

I think this was asked and answered before, but what is the difference between the two apps that show in the market realtimetraffic 1.6 and realtimetraffic with speed cams? Both say they provide have speedcam info. One says it is for standard sized screens.

More to the point I had/have a G1. but now I also have an EVO and want to load this program on it. Which is the best for an EVO?

The only difference is for small screen compliance. Version 1.6 is designed for tatoo and large screens but both versions works on Nexus for exemple even if one is pixelized.
Some phones apply filters accoding to the version so I've been obliged to create the 1.6 version just for that.
The two version are exactly the same ;-)

Sorry for my late answer...

You should see a popup over Google Navigation showing details of event when close to it. This popup should contains:

- Speed limit / or event type
- Distance with the event
- Orientation

Not sure what might be set wrong, but my distance traveled is way off, like half what it should be. I'm in US, set to miles. Incredible with latest version from Market. Everything works great except the distance is off. It almost seems it is in KM but reading miles. I can't figure out a setting to change to get it fixed. And, it seems originally, a month ago, don't remember version, it worked correctly.

Can you suggest a setting I'm missing to fix this?

I did a crude test with the odometer on my car and it's not off by the KM to miles ratio. It's more like .55 of what my car odo says. Been this way for last two updates if I remember. As I said, originally it seemed correct.

I tested this out for a few minutes. I would use it if there were more users around. Sadly since I live in the "boonies" (I do believe my friends called it a hick town ) there wasn't much data for where I lived. Something I'm going to have to live with for as long as I live in this town.

Hardly a problem you can possibly fix.

Guess I'm gonna have to move at some point to somewhere more popular. LOL

I fixed the bug. It will be available for Android 1.6 on the market by tomorrow.
If you are in android 1.1 or 1.5 tell me and I'll build a setup for you.

The problem was linked to optimisations I did to make things working faster and in fact it was too fast for distance calculation ;-)
Distance and average speed are now updated every 5 seconds to have a good value.
My tests show a difference of 100m for a 30km trip ;-)

I'm on 2.1 on an HTC Incredible, so no need for special build. I'll grab it when it shows up!!

Mine was off by WAY more than 100 meters in 30 kilometers (THAT would be pretty darn accurate, methinks), but hopefully whatever you did fixed it.

Vesion 1.0 41d is for android 1.5 ;-)

Search on the market by keyword "monthorin" and you'll find the two versions.

Install the one named Real Time Traffic 1.6 or scan the QR Code on first page for version 1.6 ;-)
