I don't notice the hump at all, it really doesn't throw the balance off or anything either. It does make it easier to take it out of my pocket though. Here is a crude way to show the balance point. It is barely off the table on the right hand side and the pen is very close to the center.

Looks like the question was already answered but yes it is pretty well centered. The hump is mostly hollow, which also attributes to the sorta "booming" sound you hear when giving it a tap.

Dang- they could have marketed the hump as a "subwoofer" ;)

Speaking of sound... Does the X sound better than the Droid? Droid's volume output to the 3.5mm jack was a tad low and the high end freq for music was a little cut off.

X sound have more volume and better sound range?

The droid always puzzled me for sound, since it uses the same chipset as my amazing sounding N900. I later found out the N900 has a dedicated audio amp for the 3.5mm line. Made sense then :)

Appears to be leaning towards the right. Perhaps a 1/8 inch to the left would center it.

Of course the center of gravity would be solved with one of the leveler apps :)

Oh I know. I'm just saying that it looks quite centered for even having that hump. I was expecting it to actually touch the table. lol Definitely beat my expectations.

lol I wonder why Motorola had the camera button red but everything else chrome. I think perhaps they wanted it to stand out?

That's probably one of my favorite things about the X to be honest. I know it's simple. But I go CRAZY on the Inc trying to use the camera with no designated camera button. The fact that it's coloured I can grab it quicker without making a mistake like I would with the 90 thousand buttons that were on all my Blackberrys.

With you Incredible you can just touch the screen, where you want it to focus, and keep holding it down to take a pic. I think it's easier and there's less chance of shaking the camera since you aren't pressing down on the actual button. That's one thing I liked about my DInc.
