x vs galaxy s in terms of gaming

From seeing quake running on that phone it got me thinking to how would the x do. I know it will fare better than the snap dragons but against the hummingbird? Plus galaxy has the 6 axis built in.

Galaxy S is known to have a better processor. The Neocore rating on the S is higher than the X by about 10-13FPS?

All those Samsung phones will be better gaming phones. That 6 axis and the gpu is better than the X. The current Snapdragon is just no match for the current OMAP and Humingbird.

yeah, u should read the samsung galaxy s forums on xda-developers. Paul @ Modaco had to root the phone and flash a custom ROM just to take car of the lag that was present at start. I am not sure if I trust samsung quite yet, although its great Tmobile is coming out with theirs on july 21st so I can put my droid x side by side and see for myself how I feel about it.

From what I've read the galaxy s will be a bit better with the gpu but the droid x is significantly faster than anything else currently available so not sure the different between the two will be that great. Unknown (to me) what the droid x did with regards to axis detection

^The iPhone 4's camera already shows what higher megapixel really mean...at 4", that might be the sweet spot for ppl that want a bigger screen phone and think the X is too big..

I want the X too, I'm a Motorola fan....but dont sleep on these Samsung phones coming out.

The one issue though is Samsung is infamous for having weak a55 phone radios. Gaming is cool- assuming the reception is good. Otherwise, my PSP and DS will do just fine.

I thought our phones were supposed to primarily be phones? Who cares about Quake 2 running better or not? Would be nice but I rather have a solid phone that will definitely be updated with the most current android software.

At the rate HTC is going, when they release one phone they are already working on the next three to subsequently replace it.

The way the market is going is aggravating being locked into a two year contract and all.

That can be said for America, but here in Europe we havent seen a big phone for a while (excluding the Galaxy S). I hope Motorola come out with a gsm droid x. Or even HTC if they upgrade their CPUs.

Get a Motorola Droid or an Nexus One.....

See, its not that simple. We all want the latest greatest, best available if we can get it. And we try to get the best phone for us overall and the best available overall. I coulda got th Inc, I didnt. The Droid was what I wanted and I felt it was what I needed with the slide out keyboard. Looking at things now, the Inc is better spec, feature wise.

I'm already first in line to get one at Best Buy friend. All my accessories will be arriving tomorrow as well. Droid X is the phone to get right now, especially given the promise of 2.2 by end of summer. Dinc was a fart in the wind.

I had a Omnia 2 when is first came out, running winmo 6.5 and crappy touch wiz it was laggy as sh t, The new sammy S is running a touch wiz ui, so I bet it will still have the same issue

The Samsung Glyde was probably the worst phone ever made. By them releasing that phone, they have forever tarnished their reputation when it comes to touch screens. Freaking Samsung...yeah I am still bitter about it.

Really! Where did "snapdragon" thing come from?
Please do not make uninformed comments.
If you mention MP next to the camera that means you have no idea how the camera works. I do believe X has better camera, though.

Galaxy S does not use Snapdragon, it uses Hummingbird!

Megapixel wars are over, higher megapixel rating does not mean better photos.
