Possible Camera Damage?

Does anyone know how sensitive the camera on the Sprint HTC Hero is? To clarify, I was taking photos/videos at night of a street fireworks show, about 10-15 feet from the fireworks. Could I have damaged the camera with focused light that bright?

Can you provide picture examples?

As sixxx said, have you tried adjusting the sharpness in the settings?

Had the same problem then realized the lens had become a bit dirty. Q-Tip to the rescue dampened with water only. Back in business.

don't expect much from the camera in this phone. i am a photographer and have relied heavily on capturing quick images with a cell. based on my experience, the hero is the worst...blackberry's are the best hands down. i love my hero, just wish it had a great camera for quick snaps.

adjust all image settings to -1 and shoot in b&w. thats the best this thing will do.

you should not have incurred any damage from extreme lighting produced by the fireworks.

What will the -1 for everything do? I prefer color shots but i don't take many pictures with the phone to begin with. I'm just curious

I'll try cleaning the lens area, but unfortunately I don't have any good pics to upload from before to show a comparison, so it could very well just be my memory is off in thinking that they're less clear than before. Also checked all the settings and verified that everything is set to the highest quality. Thanks everyone for the input.

I remember one day with my Samsung M520 Slider the camera all of a sudden was taking pictures that looked like there had just been a solar flare in my freakin living room. Couldn't figure it out, After a few days it just stopped and went back to normal.
