Hey.
So I got my Hero at last! :D
Very pleased with it, loving the screen and the keyboard. I've just got a few questions.

I downloaded beebplayer straight away cause i am a frequent iplayer user, but beebplayer is 100% unwatchable for me. The video and sound stop and start every few seconds. Could it be because my wireless is Belkin Pre-N? If it is because of the router, is there anyway to fix it short of buying a new one, cause I cant afford it at the moment.
Does Flash in the browser only work for certain things? I've been trying to watch some break.com, tvshack and megavideo (all flash) but all that seems to happen is the player itself comes up, loads, but never starts playing?

I have e-mailed the guy who made beebplayer but I'm still waiting on reply. Any idea's guys?

Hello Dogtag_uk,

If you look for this app in the market you will see that in description of BeebPlayer it says that "Issues? Please try again later, the networks are having problems!". So it looks like nothing to do with your router as it's a problem with application which hopefully will be solved with future updates. Also there are many comments on that saying that it fails to play properly. So the solution could be is to wait for updates and more stable version.
Have you tried to watch/listen with 3G rather than Wifi? Does it has same issues?

What about flash player:
"
The version on the device is Flash Lite 3.1, which is compatible up to Flash 9 with Actionscript 2.0 support. Today this should enable around 75% of Flash web content on the Internet.

Later in the year we will release full Flash Player 10 to our manufacturing partners at which time they will complete integration. It is outside of our control as to which devices, and exactly when devices ship with this new player.

HTC's Hero does have the hardware requirements for this, and upgrading the player should be possible for them if they choose."

Several users have reported laggy wireless connection when connected to accesspoints with 802.11n support. If you do not use it, you might want to switch your AP to 802.11b/g or just 802.11g mode.
