Hi,

I have a HTC desire which unfortunately got a bit wet. I have dried it out, and it was working. I took it to the shop to get looked at, however when I got it back, all it now does is show the purple circle arrow logo and do nothing. If i hold the back button i can get into the bootloader but other than that, no matter what options I pick, the phone just sits on the purple arrow circle and then reboots after about 5 minutes?

Any ideas please? I think the phone needs a complete reinstall? Where do I start?

It shows up in windows in device manager, but I can't do much more else?

Cheers
Craig

Nope no insurance :-/

The phone was fine, it just seems to be stuck with the powerbutton sticking, so every time i turn it on, its going into restore factory defaults mode?

I took it to a shop and they reckon its impossible to fix. I think it was a load of shit personally. Only the powerbutton that is faulty.

Nope, liquid containing impurities (sugar, salt etc) damages circuit boards and components.

If it was too long ago, the damage is likely done and the phone irreparable - as in it'd cost more to repair than to buy a new one.

Insurance is always worth it - but ensure you're fully protected.
