Hi there everyone,
Well my title says it all, but I thought I'd elaborate on my experience with the Incredible a little and tell you all why I came to the conclusion that the X just may be a better choice for me.
Loved the Incredible - had it delivered to my work on launch day - made the switch from T-mobile. Had the Seidio extended battery on day 1. First weekend had amazing battery life. Over 10 hours awake time and 24+ hours up time.
Shortly after however, I began to notice a dip in battery life. Significant dip. 5 hours awake and 12 hours up. Exactly half of what i was getting. Maybe it was apps, maybe it was the battery. Either way, it stunk.
Fast forward about a month where I bought an extended battery for a TouchPro2, exchanged one Seidio 1750 battery for another (2nd one was worse) and countless tests later -- here I am. FED. UP.
Droid X is announced and I decide to go for it instead -- stay within Android and on Verizon, win win to me at least. So I put my Incredible (& accessories) on eBay on Monday and it's sold in 4 hours!!! Wowza -- shortage!
Been keeping up with the reviews and here are my hopes for things which Droid X will address:
What I'm giving up:
I don't need much to be happy. Just give me Android 2.1 or greater, some good battery life, and great hardware and you've got my ca$h.
Any other former Incredible owners about to make the switch? Why are you making the move to the Droid X? Post your experiences!

Been keeping up with the reviews and here are my hopes for things which Droid X will address:
- Battery life -- I just need to not worry about it so much!
- Better Call Quality -- some calls sounded like they were under water
- No grounding issues -- major annoyance in the car!!
- Lack of awesome accessories available (car dock, desk charger, etc)
- Build Quality - the Incredible felt a little cheap and plasticky to me
- Faster Upgrades (to Froyo and beyond!)
- Critical Mass adoption (just like original Droid so we can have hacks, apps, and accessories made to our heart's content!)
What I'm giving up:
- AMOLED - Man I loved that screen!
- 6.6 gigs of internal memory for something other than apps! (Media comes to mind...)
- That trackpad I never used (except on rare typo corrections)
- Sense UI - It was pretty cool, I admit
- There are probably more that I haven't mentioned!
I don't need much to be happy. Just give me Android 2.1 or greater, some good battery life, and great hardware and you've got my ca$h.
