Root bh2 replacement with rom.

i was having charging issues with the phone and tmo ended up sending me a replacement. my issue is, i am not able to put the phone back to stock. when i try to flash it; i am having issues with it stalling. after some investigating, i think it is because of the same issues with charging. there must be some sort of usb problem which is not allowing me to flash. it see's the phone but doesn't recognize it. it's not my computer because i put the new one on and everything works fine. adb, charging, etc..

so, with that being said.
has anyone had a phone exchanged out with a rom still installed? the rep didn't say anything about the sw but did say if they found any physical damage they could possibly charge me.. i would hate for tmo to try to charge me for some bs...

i have 7 days until i need to ship it back.. any advice?

Either try to do a factory reset and try to flash it back to 1.5 with odin, or try to flash it back via sd card. If it's an issue with your usb port on your phone, T-Mobile can't charge you for that because that is a device malfunction.

And if they try to charge you for that, call corporate and argue with them about it and ask them how is it your fault that a usb port is damaged when technically a usb port is internal. I can understand if you threw your phone and cracked the screen, or broke the menu button by trying to pry it off, but a usb port?

If you send it back with a custom rom, it'll void your warranty. So don't do that. If you are plugging it in and it's not recognizing in odin, then it's a problem with the usb...and I had that problem too.

Basically I had to put the phone in download mode over and over and over again...(took about 2 days) while pulling the battery and trying again, till finally odin recognized my phone, and I flashed the package with stock rom.

if you can't get stock rom back on, then send in your new phone, and keep trying to flash stock then warranty exchange when you get it all ironed out. If tmobile receives a phone with a voided warranty they will just charge your account FULL price of the phone...
