Help Battery: Cell Standby and Phone Idle???

New to forums and Incredible. Love the phone. Trying to optimize battery and usage before adding apps, games music etc.

Questions is my up time is roughly 16 hours and awake time is 47 minutes
(Barely touched the phone today being so busy with work). When checking the battery most of the drain seems to be from cell standby 45% and phone idle 44%. Is this normal? Any way to reduce battery drain.The rest of battery usage is Android system 8% and display 3%.

That's normal. Since you didn't really use your phone for anything else, there's is nothing else for the battery graph to show what's drained your phone, except for the phone parts of it. The battery is being drained normally. If you would have turn off your wireless phone (Airplane Mode) you would see that the Adroid OS would take up a huge chunk of the percentage. It all has to add to 100%

The other thing to look at is "time without a signal." That should be right on the same screen. The higher that is, the faster the battery will drain. My average day at work is spent with about 30% of it without a signal.
